Went there to have a short escape as well as to celebrate my birthday with friends. When we arrived, a few guests were queuing in front of the reception counter though it was not crowded. ||It took around 10 minutes before our turn to be registered.||Once we finished registering, we were handed over the room key card, and the receptionist said that our room was on the 3rd floor (a smoking floor room), and she gave us directions to the elevator.||Once we reached the floor, the elevator door opened, and we could smell the cigarette odor, which was quite annoying even though we were smokers (maybe they needed to put a sign not to smoke in the corridor).||The room itself was quite nice and clean, complete with tea, coffee, and an empty jug for us to fill in the mineral water from the dispensers located in the corridor (they have this practice of not using a single-use plastic material, which is good). The bathroom itself was clean and proper. ||But, too bad that the window could not be opened, which is strange enough since it was a smoking floor. They do have exhaust inside the bedroom, but it was quite noisy and it was connected to the table spotlight, thus when the light is switched off, the exhaust is off too.||On the next day, we went down for breakfast. The choice of breakfast is alright. with the egg station located outside on the terrace outside. ||Overall, it was a good experience staying with Ibis Manado. ||But, the only downside was there was no direct access from the parking area in the basement to the lobby, which was for us, it was quite annoying when it was raining, and considering that there were around 60-80 rooms, the parking space wasn't big enough to...

My grandmother and her sister previously had stay at here two year before, with positive reception, citing reason situated at strategic location. When gonna booked room for vacation to Manado, obviously quickly decided to stay at here.
As like most budget hotel, don't expect too much about room size. Not very large but comfortable. Bathroom size quite small but has unique design.
Note that to reach every floor level (except ground level) required to use card for room, because the lift button programmed can't work when pushed. Probably aim to prevent random stranger come to room.
While soundproofing was great inside room, area near door in contrast had very poor soundproofing. Sometime songs played from outside room can be heard clearly at room. When there were foreign tourist (coincidentally stay near my room) talking loudly with their friends at outside, it can be heard clearly too. My parent more unlucky, sound of adhan, scream and car from in the front street trough the room.
Breakfast was so so (as I predicted before). While had wide range menu choice for budget hotel standard, majority of menu had tasteless or in case of local cuisine had strange flavor and below average quality than version that found on street food or restaurant.
In concluding, the hotel isn't as good as told by my grandmother. Perhaps much better next time booking room...

If you have double booking (i'm using Agoda) Unincidentaly, the property will never told you (just to confirm about the double booking orang the similar name on ID), eventhough already past one day from the hotel also never contact if there is any booking that have not being check in yet. When we ask for the solutions, there is no solution. One thing that make me curious, why the hotel gave me connecting room with unlock door if the IBISS staff say that they dont know if have double booking...? Does they Intentional denied the problems itself?? How low your hospitality for customer.... Bad services for the hospitality business you running on.
Nevertheless, it will be my experience using AGODA orang IBISS Manado & affiliate (Accord Group). Never will be again since this Incident.
