We reached around 5pm. The initial service was quite good. They welcome you with a welcome drink. The evening staff were quite polite. They helped us in locating the veg restaurants. However, we ended up with having veg pizza from the Hotel itself. Everything was good till the checkout time. They accused us (group of 7 friends) for a dirty towel (Red Hair Dye stains) and compelled us to pay for it 100000 IDR. As we were informing our travel agent about the situation, they spoke with their manager and increased the amount to 200000 IDR or wash it and remove the stains. We denied the fact that we have black hair and we do not use hair dye, but they didn't listen and went abusive which was not at all expected. The receptionist used the "F word" without any hesitation. It seems they want to squeeze the customer's money in any manner. We didn't want to loose the booked ferry and any issue with locals, we paid 100000 IDR for the towel which we didn't stain and left. Also, they day we came to this place, one of our friend slipped and got hurt very badly. I don't what kind o hotel this was, they don't have any First Aid kit. They plucked some leaves and dropped its juice on the wound. Well, they tried, but at least they should have first-aid kit at least for any unforeseen accidents. Just to let you know, its a village and no doctors/hospitals nearby. Lets not forget the breakfast. They will provide you very limited food. If its bread omelette (1 slice bread and an omelette) per person + a fruit bowl (5slices of papaya, 5 slices of pineapple) per room. If its bread toast (2 slice bread and butter/jam) per person + a fruit bowl (5slices of papaya, 5 slices of pineapple) per room. It was the worst experience that we had with any hotel in our life. Also, they always charge 2%-3% extra on their bill if you would pay through card. But if you pay cash, it...
Read moreHad booked at a nearby bungalow hotel which, when I arrived, was not at all as it appeared on the booking site . Felt very disappointed so went for a walk to the beach which the bungalow staff told me was nearby . It wasn’t - but on my walk I found this amazing retreat . At first I was attracted by the lovely piano music coming from the restaurant . So decided to have some lunch and think about my accommodation options . Sitting in the restaurant of Abasan Hill, overlooking the tropical jungle and the infinity pool, it was easy to make the decision to stay here . I went back to the bungalow where to be honest the staff were very nice and told them I couldn’t stay there. I collected my bag and trudged down the dusty road to Abasan Hill looking for all the world like Shirley Valentine dragging her case along that beach in Greece!||||Abadan Hill is small and so relaxing I had to extend my stay. The rooms are spacious and all overlook the infinity pool . The bed was super comfortable snd the bedlinen very soft. The owner was very friendly and really knows what he’s doing to run a welcoming, spotlessly clean and relaxing hotel . ||||I took advantage of this spa and had a wonderful facial which made me look 10 years younger! ||||They have a happy hour on drinks in the infinity pool with a swim up bar. Unfortunately being on antibiotics I couldn’t take advantage of the ones with alcohol but the mocktails but equally as delicious .||||If you’re looking for a very chilled, sophisticated place away from the crowds & reasonably priced I can thoroughly recommend the Abasan Hill. If you book directly they will give you...
Read moreTypical Balinese breakfast, nothing special, breakfast is delicious. there are poached eggs with sauce on the menu, but there is no sauce, an omelet only from 2 eggs (you can add an egg for 15 rupees, a dozen eggs cost so much in the store). Coffee is just instant Nescafe, although the hotel has a simple coffee machine, but the hotel only sells it from 14-00 for 45 rupees (inadequate price). The prices in the restaurant at the hotel are above average, and the pizza we ordered is quite average. The staff is smiling and helpful. The view from the pool is amazing, there are plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas. Cleaning daily, clean well. The hotel seems to be a year old, but it looks like a few years. The room has a crack through the entire building. A small non-closing closet, a bathroom: an uncomfortable small sink, a shower without glass or a curtain, plumbing was killed, a shelf was torn out with a mount (nothing was done at our request to hang a shelf). But the worst thing is the road to the hotel, very broken (the hotels could fix the road, but they don't care about their guests). Every morning at 6-00 you can hear the mosque strongly, if you don't like to wake up early, take earplugs. But in general, the impressions of staying at this hotel are positive, we lived...
