We had an amazing evening at Acropora, and I have to start by highlighting the exceptional service from Tasya and her team. You can truly feel how much care, effort, and heart they put into making this already stunning place absolutely spectacular. From the warm welcome to the attention throughout the dinner, everything was flawless.
The food was delicious – we chose several Balinese dishes, and honestly, they were better than in many other places we've tried during our trip. The duck was outstanding, tender and flavorful, and beautifully presented.
The views are cinematic – perfect for watching the sunset or simply soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. The value for money was excellent, especially considering the quality of the food, the service, and the overall setting.
As a bonus, we stumbled upon a live music performance during our dinner – we didn’t expect it, but it added such a special touch to the night.
We also came across some reviews mentioning a small construction area or storage section. Let us be clear: it's a completely minor, tucked-away corner that doesn't impact the views, the vibe, or the experience in any way. Basing a negative review solely on that is unfair and misleading.
Don’t let that stop you – this place is absolutely worth it. Go, relax, enjoy the food, the view, the atmosphere, and let Tasya and her team take care of the rest. You’ll leave happy, just...
Read moreI hate to not rate this a 5 star experience. I had to try two nights in a row to book a table for sunset because I was excited for the food and the canopy environment (as shown on their very first picture here on google).
Upon arrival, you have to walk down a few flights of stairs and some steeply sloped roads before getting to the restaurant. They offer a ride back up (which wasn’t available when I left), but not down. This personally didn’t bother me, but for others who don’t like cardio, just a little warning.
Come to find out, the beautiful canopy photo is no longer existent due to a storm that made the roof cave in, which of course, is no fault of theirs. But I was sad to hear it and was looking forward to seeing it. We were seated by the pool behind some people lounging in their pool chairs. The pool was pretty, but the restaurant space was a bit cramped and there were no fans, nor an island breeze that night, so it was a bit hot. The music was nice and relaxing though, mostly some acoustic-like remixes of popular songs.
The food was suboptimal. It mostly lacked flavor and the chicken skewers were dry, but the minestrone was delicious. So I ordered an additional one to go, which took about 30-45 minutes of waiting. By the time I got back to the place I was staying, nearly all the juice was gone from the soup and a good portion of the flavor along...
Read moreIf you are looking for an exceptional dining experience in penida, the acropora restaurant is the place for you! You can sit outside on the open terrace and enjoy the sweeping view of the ocean and mount agung. As guests in the resort, we had breakfast here every morning. Breakfast is a la carte, but you have a vast selection of different delicacies. We tried the egg benedict, the omelet, and some Indonesian breakfast is a treat!,
This made our stay at the resort even sweeter: Any allergies are well noted, they can serve you gluten-free delights with no problem. There is regular entertainment during dinner. We had the chance to experience live music. The food is high quality compared to the Nusa Penida area. Another highlight for us was the romantic candlelight dinner. The decoration was beautiful, the food heavenly and the service unbeatable.
A big thank you to Mira, he was our waitress at the candlelight dinner. She did a fantastic job and anticipated our every wish. Many thanks also to yogi, he too was a very competent waiter. They were always extremely friendly and even addressed us by name, which truly impressed us! In conclusion: We would come back any time!
All the best,
Extremely...
