We had to run for our safety!
We had a 3-night booking and after complaining about the hot water, we were told at midnight to pack our bags and leave immediately because we were "too complicated". Meanwhile, their marketing manager, threatened us on the phone with "Immigration issues" if we escalated or made any complaint - he said: "Be very careful, we have your passport photos (taken on arrival) We can make you problems with Immigration." I have photos and voice notes, actual evidence. We asked, begged for them to call the police to understand what was happening and they refused it. Instead they gave us a "compensation" in return for us to leave immediately and when they did, they started chasing us out of the place (me and my partner). For your own safety, do not stay at this place. Or if you do, do not complain about the hot water - They say it has a 25l capacity but the photo speaks for itself. And when they do "call the police" - they invite a local friend who was intoxicated, give him a beer and a pack of cigarettes and say "act like a cop".
Not to mention the breakfast - You have to make the order the previous night and in the morning when you have it, it looks and tastes like it was made the night before - surprise! The scooter they charge you $100.000 rupiah but if you walk down to the other hotels/hostels they are honest and charge you 70/80.000. The view is amazing, no doubt. But the way we had to leave the island the next morning, afraid that we being chased by the staff, was so not worthy. They even sent us a message via Whatsapp the next morning to let us know they still had the photos of...
Read moreThe worst hotel of my entire life, and don't even get me started on the owner, the most incompetent person I've ever met. I can't even describe the way they treat you. Even though they try to make you pay more than the reservation already costs, they take no responsibility for anything. We also tried eating at the hotel bar two days in a row. The first day we ordered chicken nuggets with fries and a pizza. They brought us just the fries and told us they were out of nuggets. After half an hour, having already finished the fries, they told us there was no kitchen and they couldn't bring the pizza, so we couldn't eat anything else. After all this, we were a bit stunned. But on the last day, we didn't have our motorbike and decided to go for dinner. We asked if we could eat there this time and they said yes. We ordered chicken wraps, which were bad, overcooked, and made with meat that wasn't listed on the menu. We obviously complained after only taking one bite, and he told us we still had to pay for it since we had already ordered it. We argued with the manager for a while. 1 hour I absolutely do not recommend this hotel. They don't even know what to tell you, the staff is awful. Don't even try to go to this hotel, I'm very serious. I've never written a review in my entire life, but this time it was...
Read moreWe booked a 3 night stay at the Reynten Hill. Puspa (one of the staff) welcomed us with a drink, showed us around and was able to answer all of our questions in proper English. She is definitely an asset to the hotel. Very friendly and always happy to help (even over whatsapp after her shift). ||The room was great, the outdoorsy bathroom was good as well. She made us aware that the shower only had a capacity of 25L hot water and if you needed more, you needed to wait for 30min. All fine anyway, as even the coldest shower in here was still not freezing cold. The pool was good as well, had a lovely view! No complaints on the room, bathroom or pool. ||The only minor remark we had was on the broken lights in the garden, a lot of the cases that are build in the stairs all over the garden, are broken and popping out. Should be an easy fix. ||The road to the hotel is very steep and bumpy by the way. But any driver on the island or experienced scooter driver is able to get to the hotel, so no issues there.||Staff was great, very...
