Kari Senja Villa — Hotel in Pulau Bali

Like with some of the other reviews, I would agree with the rooms being in good condition since it's a new villa. But that's where the problem starts - blaming the guests for stealing 1 small plate which was missing by their own staff and asking to open the bags to check for that!!! That's unreal. Firstly, location is painful especially the access road to the property, we had 3 drivers who are unwilling to come to collect us as they didn't want to damage the car and there is nothing nearby - no restaurant or no store. Secondly, the owner and staff are very intrusive in their way about cleaning and behaving as if nothing in the property should be touched. We went as a family with kids, and every morning they would come before we leave the villa and start tidying up the room even when someone is still getting ready! As a basic courtesy you should wait for the guests to leave or check with them before cleaning. Also trying to take photos of the sofa on the next day and trying to blame us for any spots. It felt we were living scared of touching anything and kids could also not move around as their attitude towards us was not welcoming. And now to the main reason, which spoiled our stay and I would definitely give "ZERO" stars to the property. On the morning when we were checking out, again the owner and staff were already there, he randomly said there was 1 small plate missing. Just to be clear it was not a gold plated or an antique middle aged plate, which someone would steal. To make matters worse, he checked all the rooms and started to blame us. He even said he needed to check our luggage incase he doesn't find the plate!!! Why would anyone on holiday steal a small plate??? He even justified by saying, he has seen other guests do it - seriously! He never gave us a count or check list of every item in the kitchen, so there is no way of knowing if it was missing or it was never there in the first place. We were there for 5 nights and took care of everything like our home, and to blame us for such a minor thing just made the stay very very poor. He needs to learn a lot of basic stuff in hospitality incase he wants to have other clients. I was shocked and had an argument while checking out and didn't let him search our bags. He even tried to take extra money on the laundry which we gave them, despite having proof of weight. Overall, if you want to stay in an isolated area, where cars are unwilling to come, be worried about dropping anything on the floor or sofa or touching anything in the house, and lastly get accused of stealing, then you should stay here.

We had a 4 night reservation at this wonderful villa. Then we loved it so much that we extended here for 8 nights. It was our first time in Bali and we never thought we would feel at home. Kari Senja Villa made us feel like real Balinese. Our room was cleaned in detail twice a day. I must say that I am someone who is obsessed with cleanliness and everything was very clean for me. Putu and his team are the kindest and most cheerful people I have ever met. Have you ever seen a villa owner who prepares breakfast with their own hands every day? Here it is and it was delicious. Also owner helped us for daily plan like where should we go or not. Our room had everything we needed, all the equipment was new and modern. The bed was very comfortable. I can say that we did not have any insect problems in our room despite being so close to the rice fields (they are all harmless anyway, don't worry, please be eco-friendly). I was absolutely delighted with the villa! Everything was simply wonderful. The villa was clean and well-maintained, with daily cleaning twice a day keeping everything in perfect order. The breakfasts were incredibly delicious, and starting the day with such food was a real pleasure. The internet at the villa is truly high-speed, which was especially important for me.
