Kayun Restaurant — Restaurant in Bali

Ideally my score is - 4 but as it's not possible would just give 1 star which is the minimum we can give.

This is our second trip to Bali and I have to say this is the worst of the worst places we have ever been ever, not just in Bali but anywhere.

Fake Organic / Ayurveda names on the meals - Butter chicken with Tomato Gravy ended up being Chicken with Curry Leaves green Pumpkin. Mong and Massoor Dal mixed Dal Fry was dry, bland and lacked any kind of taste.

Ordered Garlic Nan for my Son - what came was a plain paratha with fried garlic pieces sprinkled on it. If you try to tear the paratha all toppings would fall. It's no way it can be called a Nan.

Last but not least had ordered Aloo Paratha - what came was thick pancake sized undercooked paratha filled with unseasoned mashed potato. Even mashed potatoes served to babies have more salt / taste than this.

Most of the staff did not care where were asking for someone to bring and extra plate or salt etc.

I am really sorry for this place, please get a better cook and a good staff. Your location is nice, the planned / Intended concept is good so what you need is consistency...

Kayun Restaurant offered a rather middle-of-the-road experience, landing somewhere around a 6/10 rating. The food, while not spectacular, managed to hold its own. The setting was quite lovely, with a pleasant backdrop adding to the ambiance.

However, a curious encounter with the waitress left us puzzled. She nearly dictated our meal choices, and given her insistence, we relented, wondering if we were simply being offered whatever was left in the kitchen. The presentation of the dishes was certainly appealing, but the prices leaned towards the higher end for Bali. The restaurant's claim of being organic might explain the premium, though.

Interestingly, there was a religious gathering happening about 100 yards from our garden seating, providing an unexpected glimpse into local culture. Amidst this cultural touch, we shared our dining space with geckos and flies, but I must admit the restaurant's provision of mosquito spray was a considerate gesture.

In hindsight, would I consider revisiting Kayun Restaurant? Probably not. While the experience wasn't inherently bad, it didn't leave a strong enough impression to warrant a...

Atmosphere is nice, I liked the garden and nature around. Food is good but for that price I already had a better curry and bebek goreng. What was extremely disgusting it's the baby chair that was super dirty and under the cover when I tried to clean it for my baby, I discovered dead spiders and insect so I fed my baby on my legs instead. Apparently nobody touched the chair for a while, however, I don't understand they don't find it disgusting and give you the chair that's suppose to be for small kids, mine is 7 months, it can be dangerous for the smallest when they put everything to the mouth.
