Enjoyed our short 1 night stay at Lovina Haven Boutique Resort We are a bit confused whether it is an established resort with a refurbishment or a new resort? It consists of: beachfront and garden view accommodation A beautiful pool Pancha Rasa restaurant Lovina Haven Spa
Beachside room 101: We treated ourselves to a beachside room which is new or near new so very clean and tidy, spacious with outdoor bath. There appeared to be a couple of teething issues they need to work on: little or no hot water and pressure was very weak. Television didn’t work on aerial. I feel they should provide bottled water which is the norm in Bali, none provided here.
The pool is very nice, clean and beautiful with good lounges, etc. The only grizzle Is the decking which looks very new is quite uneven and lumpy with the timbers picking up making trip hazards and it really is quite unsafe in places.
Lovina Haven Spa: We were given a 10 min voucher which we added to a 1 hour massage and we were quite satisfied. Clean, tidy, ambience was good. The therapists did a good job whoever they did seem to disappear a couple of times for a few minutes, and there was some rustling and clunking and then they returned. Overall a good experience for massage.
Pancha Rasa restaurant: Great location with beautiful pool and sea views. We didn’t do breakfast, while we thought it was included on our rate as we paid the higher of the 2 rates for breakfast through booking.com it wasn’t on our booking when we checked in and it wasn’t worth fighting for as we had a 6am start for dolphin watching and snorkeling the next day. We did have dinner and while the menu has Italian and some Indonesian influences, all the dishes were well presented, tasty and good value for money. What was unusual was: no deserts on the menu Beer, wine, juice and soft drinks were available, no cocktails or spirits at all! We were told it was a “soft opening” and that’s why the drinks menu was limited. (I thought it was strange to have a soft opening with no spirits or cocktails)
There were plenty of staff , they are attentive, well presented although not the best at fixing issues like no hot water.
It does have a very nice looking gym near the spa, when I checked it out it was hot as anything as the aircon wasn’t on, but who goes to the gym when you are on holiday!
The location is very good, an Indomart over the road and a short 10 minute walk to Pepito Market which has everything, a very basic Apotek is across the street from Pepito Market. Dolphin watching and snorkeling pick up at the beach and the pool is very nice. A couple of bicycles to use or hire (if they were well maintained) would be good for getting around easily would be great!
It has very good bones and I wouldn’t call it “boutique” at this time, it is quite nice and adequate and the owners need to make a plan to extend on what is here to keep people coming back. I would be happy...
Read moreWe were pleasantly surprised by this beautiful hotel. Our room, which had sea views, was exceptionally clean and well-appointed with thoughtful amenities such as robes, a bar fridge, hair dryer, and a very comfortable king-size bed. One of our favourite moments was sitting on the terrace in the late afternoon with a drink in hand, soaking up the sun. For sunset, we moved to the beachfront gazebos, which offered a lovely atmosphere. |The pool is a good size, clean, and surrounded by plenty of sunbeds, with the added bonus of poolside service. The onsite restaurant provides a good variety of food options, and we found the overall ambience of the resort to be very relaxing. Special mention to the fantastic staff, they went above and beyond by organising our laundry, transport, and dinner reservations, making our stay stress-free and enjoyable.|While our room offered sea views, these were partially obstructed by the garden foliage. Cutting this back would enhance the view for guests. Additionally, there is a nearby mosque or temple with a loudspeaker, the early morning prayers at 5 AM were quite loud and did wake us, though this is outside the hotel’s control. |The location is decent, but it’s worth noting that many of the nicer restaurants are a 5–10 minute car ride away. The road is not pedestrian-friendly, making walking a bit hazardous. While there is the option to walk along the beach, this depends on the tide and involves navigating around boats, as there is no dedicated path. |Overall - despite a few minor inconveniences, we truly enjoyed our stay at Lovina Haven. The comfort, service, and tranquil setting made it a memorable and relaxing experience. We would...
Read moreWe stayed for 4 nights. Although the hotel is about an 15 minute walk to Lovina Pier, it's distance from the hustle makes it a more serene and restful location. ||Everything about this hotel is outstanding. The staff are the kindest, genuine and most lovely people we've met in hospitality. They do go over and beyond what you would expect.||We had a small but important issue with our room on the first night. The staff were so fast to resolve the issue. They changed our room and also kindly upgraded our room. Then followed up a number of times to make sure we were comfortable and happy.||We chose this place because it was not stuck in the middle of the hustle and it was a great decision. The location is more serene. The facilities and grounds were wonderful and beautiful. We unwound by the pool and the cute gazebos, with the sea breeze and ocean sounds soothing us.||We ate at their restaurant twice and had their breakfast every morning.||The food very nice to say the least. Breakfasts were sufficiently varied and they featured delicious Balinese options too. Their produce was fresh and prepared with elegance. One day it was Balinese Day. That day they featured 4 special local dishes which were all exceptionally delicious and expanded our palettes in such a unique way. Thank you!||Dinners were similarly delicious and rewarding. ||Our son also loved everything we did. Especially the clean large pool.||Thank you for a...
