I stayed with my wife at this budget accommodation for IDR 173,000.- nett (Reddoorz, Saturday) at the culinary mile Jl. MH Thamrin, Surakarta (Solo) City, Central Java Province. We got a spacious room with a comfortable double bed, a very good working AC, a flat screen TV with good reception (all free channels), two towels, two toothbrushes with a toothpaste and a small soap bar. We were given tissue paper on my request. A clean bathroom with hot/cold water for shower but the hot water didn't work, so we moved to another room but again the hot water didn't work (maybe a bit better). A Western style toilet with a toilet shower. Very good free WiFi. Friendly and helpful staff. Spacious parking lot with a roof for motorbikes and cars. Other minuses: no welcome drink or water dispenser; no liquid soap or shampoo in the bathroom.
