We had unpleasant stay at Horison Tasikmalaya, how were you working in service industry with really poor or lack of nice gestures? Staff were short when answering question and friendly was out of the window. We were book 2 room during checked in at 3PM they said 1 of the room hasn't ready yet, we're asked to wait around 15 minutes which was very okay. But oh we were wrong the 15 minutes turn into an hour wait with 3 phone calls without any explanation. I asked if the room wasn't ready can we get another room instead but of course it was a full house but 1 hour later with an upset guest they magically have another room available. Upon checking out the front office demand a key that we never receive, they insisted that they gave us 2 sets of keys for each rooms, which sadly wasn't the case. Each room only got 1 keycard and 1 of the other room asked for an extra key at 6am that morning. We gave back all the 3 keys we had, yet the hotel still insisted to have a 4 keys. I wont be offended if I was being asked nicely about that. I had to explain 5 times that we never received 4 keys. Only 2 keys, 1 for each room then asked 1 extra for 1 room. I was questioned as if I STEAL the key, while in fact they never gave us 2 sets of keys. Why would I even steal a hotel key card that I can't ever used again. I wouldn't stay here ever, the staff manners...
Read moreThe revitalization of the hotel is in progress. the room is so plain, there is no middle part and the like, the painting on the headboard is lifted leaving a very clear mark with the wallpaper torn in some parts. The door was dragged and asked to move rooms, but it turned out that only a smoking room was available. Quite a relief after we returned to the room to find that the door was repaired as a result of the quick response of FOM Mr Very Susandra. However, little did we know that the window to the balcony was also jammed, causing my second daughter's hand to be pinched and she was crying loudly. My concern about the potential hazard was proven to be it happened to one of my beloved one. So regretful. A bit relieve that the FOM Mr. Very Susandra who always responds swiftly and proactively reached out to the guests for checking. There is a level of hospitality in him which should have been accompanied by a more anticipation service. If conditions are being revitalized, guests should not be assigned in the defect room which may lead to more serious hazard with far...

Room ac both are really cold, but I like Horisons better because when I turn it off, the room warms up. Santika has like a central ac that keeps the room cool. Oh, the free wifi is much faster than Santika's
Service is better at Santika, much more friendlier/welcoming service.
Swimming pool at the roof is much more impressive but the fitness facility feels like a storage room (messy, dusty, barbels all over the place).
Breakfast, Horison wins hands down. It's subjective to taste because my friend liked Santika more. I think Horison wins on flavor, Santika on choices. Oh, if you order eggs, you need to remind the cook.
Clear winner depends on personal preference, I vote 3...
