Rene Hotel — Hotel in Yogyakarta

The hotel seemed great from the initial check in... Breakfast included and discounted rates...||However, the staff failed to tell us the room rates increased at the weekend, even though we asked about payment...being backpackers on a budget we would have moved. This was further fuelled by one of the members of staff lying to his manager in front of us stating we never had the conversation with us. All we asked of them is that they tell us if rates or payment was to increase, they happily agreed. Great.||Breakfast - great in theory. Granted we had 3 people in a room for two, so understandably we had to pay for an extra breakfast, it was cheap so we didn't complain.||But our annoyance escalated when on the morning after the second night we were handed a bill for breakfast... Nobody mentioned we had to pay before, and again if we had been informed before we would have not Ordered breakfast if we would have known. Especially after the issues we had had the previous night with the room rates, paying for breakfast is something they should have mentioned. ||Yes they were good to us at first... But the sheer lack of information regarding changes in payment compromises all of that. In all honestly staying here will probably give you more issues than you need...

I always love to stay near Tugu Station everytime i come to Yogya. Last May, when visiting Yogya to see Vesakh festivity in Borobudur, my friend recommended us to stay here since it is close to her home. Was a bit worry before the stay, but it turned out OK, our room was big for the 3 of us and clean, plus there's a hair salon attached to the hotel where we had a little relaxation after a night stay in Borobudur area. Hotel location is perfect right in main road Jl. Mangkubumi with 2 Trans Jogja stops nearby, which is very handy to explore the city. It is recommended for those who look for budget accomodation but still get the comfort stay and...

First of all, we chose this hotel due to the affordable rate and the good review I read through some sites. But we were doubtful because from what we saw in the brochure it didn't look a good hotel. To our surprise, the room is very comfortable and clean. Everything else is very recommended too: close to the train station, Malioboro, Tugu; mineral water available 24 hours in the front desk area.I will stay in this...
