I had an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience at the BLOOM Hotel in Baghdad. This establishment falls far short of even the most basic standards of hospitality and cleanliness. Here are the numerous issues I encountered during my stay:
Appalling Customer Service: #- The customer service quality was abysmal. The staff was unresponsive and showed a complete lack of concern for guest needs. #- When I requested a Pepsi from the minibar, I was told they were out of stock. Instead of offering an alternative immediately, I had to call the reception twice, only to be informed they only had Mirinda available. This level of service is unacceptable.
Unstocked Minibar: #- The minibar was entirely empty, which is a stark contrast to what one would expect from any decent hotel. This is a basic amenity that should always be stocked.
Hygiene and Cleanliness Issues: #- The overall cleanliness of the hotel was horrifying. The towels provided were visibly old and worn out, raising concerns about their hygiene and whether they are professionally laundered.
#- The carpet in my room emitted a foul odor, making the environment uncomfortable and unpleasant.
#- The cups, glasses, and dishes were outdated, and many had visible cracks and chips, which is both unsanitary and dangerous.
Poor Maintenance: The hotel is in dire need of maintenance. The condition of the facilities suggests neglect and a lack of proper upkeep. Broken edges on dishes and glasses are indicative of the low standards maintained.
Overall Experience: #- My stay at BLOOM Hotel for 2 nights was a nightmare. The combination of poor service, lack of basic amenities, and unacceptable cleanliness standards made my experience extremely unpleasant. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and strongly advise looking for better alternatives in Baghdad.
In summary, BLOOM Hotel failed to meet even the most basic expectations for a comfortable and hygienic stay. I hope the management takes immediate steps to address these serious issues and improve...

Read moreI stayed at Bloom Hotel for 4 nights in April 2016. It is located in Karada District and was opened just a few months ago. The lobby is nicely decorated. The reception staff friendly. Rooms are modern and nice. Free WIFI worked well. There are some construction defects as the drain of the shower was leaking and the steps on the staircase differ in size and hight. And the hotel has very thin walls. No problem during the first three nights, but on my last nicht I had a party next door going on until 2a.m. and even with ear plugs I was not able to sleep. The hotel has a nice rooftop restaurant with good food and views over Baghdad. Service can be sometimes slow at the restaurant. ||The hotel is not located on a walled compound, which was a surprise - but I felt safe. Although I know, that this can change within...
