I have booked this hotel more than four times and below is a summary of my experience: There are 9 major issues in this hotel which made me to take a decision not to choose it again in the future: 1-I noticed, while the cleaners were in the room, that they sprayed a disinfectant on the carpets, and this disinfectant is very dangerous and causes allergies and inflammation in the chest, and this happened to me three times , noting that I asked them not to spray it but they have to follow their higher management instructions. 2- Hotel facade is the reception. Unfortunately, most of the staff are not trained and do not respect the guest Especially those who do not hold Iraqi nationality. 3-There is no isolation between the rooms as you hear EVERYTHING!! 4-Room prices are in dollars, but payment is either in dollars cash or with a visa, but the visa is deducted in Iraqi dinars & not dollars, and the exchange rate is $10 more expensive than the black market, meaning if you pay with a visa or cash IRD , the room will be $10 more expensive. 5-Restaurant prices are very expensive 6-Room cleaning service is not good especially the bathrooms. 7-I did escalation to the higher management( Marwah) but I didn't get any positive response 😕 8- There is no cars parking near the hotel. 9-They have noisy generator belive me you can't sleep & you will wake up, super silent generator is available in the market but they don't to spend money on that. Finally I didn't recommended this hotel, I have traveled a lot around the world, the worst hotel I have...
Read moreThe Bilitom Hotel is a sturdy, attractive choice for the traveler who does not need the full-circle security protections desirable for, say, international officials; a single armed guard stands outside the hotel door, and the security screening for entry is about as rigorous as for entering many an American high school.||Once checked in, the guest finds a comfortable room with ample closet space and drawers, reliable Wi-Fi, and all bathroom amenities including fluffy towels. (I had treated myself and reserved a "deluxe king" room at US$140 a night.) Breakfast, included in my room rate, was served on the hotel's top floor, in a sprawling space with a view of the Tigris River nearby. A handful of other guests were in the breakfast room the two mornings I ate there, so there was no question of food running short; indeed, the food spread was varied and by all appearances wholesome.||The reception staff was friendly and helpful, and I enjoyed my stay at the Bilitom. This being Baghdad, I was very cautious about leaving the hotel except with my hired guide or to visit a friend-of--friend working...
Read moreVery bad customer service, the first night I checked in the ac was not working and they couldn’t fix it and they told me the hotel is full and they knew the ac was broken and unfixable but still sold the room, they still charged me fully for the room when I asked to check out second day because it was too hot they charged me that day too it was so funny.
The receptionist was very unprofessional as he told me in front of my colleagues that we can’t visit each others rooms implying that we booked the rooms for some other sorts of activities. It was outrageous and i felt embarrassed in front of...
