Borgo San Sebastiano — Hotel in Bergeggi

My family and i are hughe Italy Fans for over decades. But we never had situations like in these apartment komplex of borgo san sebastiano! i just want to tell you quickly about the worse things: rotten wet walls at our kids room, dirty floors especially at the terrace, still dirty dishes from the past guest, a long and hard walk to the completly italian only (what actually not a problem) crowded beaches, absolutly no parking lots (driving around for more than 30 min. just to find an illegal parking are an got a Ticket for €80!!!), completley overpriced hosteria at the complex and a michelin star like restaurant where you will not go away beyond € 200.- for 2!!!, the pool (where there is a 5min. stair walk to) is so full of clorine that you will get white again after a sunny day at the beach, ants and moskitos (no moskito doors) were our "best" friends, at the apartments are no towels and linnen, for renting these youll pay more than €60, a non existing bathroom furniture and what is innstalled nearly breaks down, and on and on....||The really exciting view over the lingurian see can't vanish all those ugly things which we had to go trough in these 7 days for €1300.- without breakfast. (7day stay, 2 adult 2 kids 2 and 11, traveled by car, booked by internet) ||And normaly i do not set my expectations to high cause all i need is a nice and clean area for me and my family after a hard year work in the gastronomy but what we found at borgo san sebastiano was an absolute...

The hotel was probably top notch in late 80. It has been cleaned and maintained somewhat but the general feeling is oldschool in a bad way. The views from many of the rooms are simply breathtaking and amazing. The owner needs to bring this place back to the 21st century, old silver cutlery and a desert-wagon with some spongecake, come on! This place deserves better and have the potential to be great.

Breakfast is probably the worst I had during the trip, old focaccia from the dinner serving last night. Cheap ham, and fruit that looked old.

It's really a shame that the place isn't better, considering the location with the views. Probably won't come back if I'm in...

La struttura del residence è posta in una posizione invidiabile, in alto sopra Bergeggi, con una vista spettacolare. Peccato sia datata e molto poco curata. Arredamento minimal, con elettrodomestici davvero scarsi e poco puliti, scarse anche le pulizie (insetti morti nei lampadari, pavimenti non ben puliti, formiche ovunque) e con a volte nemmeno gli accessori minimi (noi ad esempio eravamo in 4 ed avevamo solo 3 bicchieri per l’acqua). In più, oltre al costo eccessivo per il servizio proposto (che deve pure essere pagato in anticipo all’arrivo), il personale ci tratta con supponenza e poca cortesia, come se la stella Michelin avuta tempo fa al ristorante gli permettesse di essere sgarbati.|Peraltro Michelin dovrebbe ogni tanto (come qualcuno ha già scritto) ritornare nei posti che ha premiato con la stella in passato, per verificare che se la meritino ancora!|Infine il complesso ha molte parti chiuse, sporche e maltenute, evidenza che oggi non ci sono più i fasti ed i visitatori dì altri tempi evidentemente.|Se poi aggiungi l’obbligo di pagare per minimo due ombrelloni e 4 lettini, se si è una famiglia di 4 persone con due adolescenti di 11 e 14 anni, la modica cifra dì 80€ al giorno ai primi di giugno, nemmeno fossimo in Costa Smeralda (peraltro per una spiaggia a fianco ad un deposito dì container per navi) beh allora direi che forse è il caso che se la tirino dì meno e si rendano conto che se stanno in queste condizioni un motivo ci sarà (sarebbe opportuno che si leggessero le recensioni dì residence ed hotel per capire che fare, ma a quanto pare se ne sbattono). |Meno spocchia ed alzatevi le maniche, chi spende per i servizi/confort di livello (che pubblicizzano sul cartello in fondo all strada) poi alla fine magari li chiede!|Assolutamente...
