Farmhouse Il Poderino — Hotel in Bibbona

We stayed here for a week in July as 2 families in the 3 bedroom apartment.||||Marco, our host, was very friendly and welcoming and v.helpful with ideas of beaches and places to visit.||||The agriturismo is set in lovely grounds with a view of the hills and the countryside and a very well maintained garden complete with barbecue, outdoor eating area for each apartment, and plenty of sunbeds.||||The natural swimming pool was great, just the right size for the children (13, 10 & 8) and it was nice to see birds swooping down to get a drink in the evenings and hear the frogs croaking at night (there are no frogs in the bit you swim in!).||||Our apartment was very good value for 6 people, with 2 bathrooms and a spacious living-room/kitchen. All the rooms had mosquito netting on the windows so you could sleep with the window open. However one of the rooms at the back didn't have shutters on the window so it tended to take in heat during the day. ||||The location was also great, you could walk out of the back gates of the property down to Bibbona village where there were several small shops, some restaurants and bars. ||||There are beaches within a 10-15 minute drive.||||We loved staying at Il Poderino and would highly recommend it for a relaxing...

We loved staying at Agriturismo Il Poderino - Marco made us feel very welcome and we loved the property. We spent 9 nights in a two bedroom 1st floor apartment which was more than enough room for just the two of us, as it sleeps five people. Lots of facilities for you to use including a well equipped kitchen and communal washing machine as well as outdoor BBQs and plenty of dining areas. The natural pool is beautiful and Marco keeps the grounds very green. The place is very secure and there is a private, lit lane that goes right down into Bibbona so restaurants are within walking distance. The car port also keeps your car in the shade which is great! Marco gave us lots of ideas on where to go and what to eat, even for our trip to Florence mid-stay. The farmhouse is 10 mins drive from Marina di Bibbona which is a great beach, 15 mins from Cecina which has some large supermarkets and 40 mins from the very beautiful Volterra. A great base for exploring beautiful Tuscany! Would love to go back and will be recommending to family...
