We returned to the Hotel alla Torre for a third time after a few years absence, and were not disappointed. We arrived a little early, but were told to park our car and not worry about anything. We checked in after a stroll around the centre of Castelfranco. Our beautiful junior suite was clean and very comfortable with classic furnishing and armchairs. It was too hot to use the cute balcony, but we enjoyed using our own 'suntrap' (with loungers and parasol) which adjoined the room. Breakfast was really satisfying with lots of choices and a very cheerful and attentive waitress. The lovely receptionist made our anniversary a really special occasion and we will always remember her with great thanks.||||On the downside, the hotel is in the town centre, and it is Italy, so I'm afraid one just has to accept that there will be traffic noise and bell-ringing! Read moreGive this a miss. Old hotel in desperate need of updating. Dusty old furniture and floors, mattresses not hotel quality and are concave in the middle as they are past their use by date. Noisy room- heard the loud pedestrian crossing signal all night despite wearing ear plugs. Duvet supplied without cover (so I didn’t use) and unable to tell if the extra pillows in the wardrobe were used or not because one was in a plastic bag and one wasn’t so hygiene standards are questionable. Dirty television remote control. Very expensive for what it is compared to other nearby hotels. Location is good but I’d rather a proper mattress and cleaning...
Read moreWe had a great stay! Valentina, Paolo and all the staff are kind and welcoming. The hotel is historic, comfortable and clean. Fantastic breakfast spread that accommodates all dietary needs and a lovely garden view of the 11th century castle walls! Good gym facilities with everything you need - weights, treadmill, bike and elliptical. Perfect location in Castelfranco and also great spot for exploring Veneto. Just a 40 min train ride to Venice. This is a great choice if you want to experience a quaint and beautiful town, without the hustle and bustle of a major city. I have stayed several times and it’s always been a...
