We've stayed here several times since 2004 and we certainly wouldn't go back if it was poor! ||In the past we have booked in as B & B guests but this time we booked an apartment as we were travelling with our daughter to attend the MotoGP race at the Misano circuit, which is around a ten minute drive away!||Fiorella may not be the most salubrious establishment in the area but on pure value for money alone, it's a winner!||Situated on what might be called a borderline between Cattolica and Gabbice Mare it's much quieter than the main part of Cattolica, which suits us just fine! ||We prefer the relative peace and quiet, but if we want a bit more hustle and bustle it's just a short walk away.||There are several restaurants nearby, most of which will have seafood on the menu. Being do close to the harbour most of the items on their menus have just come off the boats that day!||||Our apartment had a large balcony on the front and the view is actually quite striking as it looks out onto a sculpture that is designed to show the fishing heritage of the area! An Italian friend (who lives 15 km away) was surprised how nice it is! He visits Cattolica with his family but has never been to this part before!||I think it's safe to say that he'll be visiting it in the future!||The owners are great! The patriarch is a man with a wicked sense of humour once you get to know him and nothing is ever too much trouble for him, although he may make it seem like it is until you see the little glint in his eye!||I'm happy to say that he has been absolutely wonderful with us, and also with everyone that has accompanied us in the past!||||Finally - it should be remembered - in Italy CASH is King and discounts can be done! This can be applied to anywhere from...
Read more30 years ago we stayed at this hotel for our honeymoon, at the time we said we would return for our 25th anniversary, which we did. We enjoyed it so much that we decided we would return for our 30th anniversary which we did in September this year.||We stayed for 4 nights bed and breakfast. Our room was on the front of the hotel overlooking the harbour, the room was large, with nice decor and very clean, with a balcony. On arrival there was a bottle of prosseco waiting for us in the fridge (a nice touch), there are also facilities for making tea or coffee.||The hotel is situated near to the beach and there is a good variety of bars, restaurants and shops very close by.||The owners Franco, Nina and their son Alberto cannot do enough for you, they are lovely.||They even gave us a gift on our departure and Franco took us to the railway station when we were leaving, and waited to make sure we got on the train ok.||Amazingly Franco & Nina were running this hotel when we first visited 30 years ago.||We will definitely return, hopefully in the next couple of years and we will not stay anywhere else other than at this lovely...
Read moreI’ve Loved this place ever since we discovered it in 2004 when we were looking for somewhere to stay prior to going to Mugello for the MotoGP! ||My wife passed away last October but was in the middle of planning to go back for the simple reason that she got on so incredibly well with Franco, Nina and Alberto, and quite honestly preferred the port area of Cattolica to the more “touristy” part! ||We’ve recommended this gem of a hotel to several people and no one has ever been disappointed! ||We’ve stayed in numerous rooms over the years and spent many happy hours sitting on the balconies doing some serious “people watching” over a glass of wine! ||It’s location near to the Port is ideal and a 40c ferry ride will have you over in Gabbice Mare in minutes if you want to check out the bars and restaurants over there!||To fulfil my wife’s plan I took two good friends there this year and they’ve both fallen head over heels in Love with the Hotel, it’s owners and the area and I know they’re planning to return! ||To quote the title of my review, “I won't stay...
