Romana Bed & Breakfast — Hotel in Ciampino

We stayed here recently and it's quite difficult to find due to the one way system. The room was adequate, only one pillow each though, the bathroom had a good shower. There was graffiti on the inside of the wardrobe. Unfortunately, I was bitten by mosquitos, the bedroom door would not close unless the door was locked - quite strange! The coffee machine wasn't working and there was nobody around to help. My partner, who's an engineer and Italian, couldn't even fix it! He tried contacting the owner by phone a couple of times but no answer. Eventually we managed to contact one of the daughters who got it working. By then though, we were ready to leave for a flight. The breakfast was nice but without coffee, not the best. We won't be returning to Romana unfortunately. It has potential but too many negatives. One...

We chose to stay one night at this hotel when we were on our way home after spending 10 days in Italy. We thought it was a good choice since it said on the web that it was close to the AirPort and offered AirPort shuttle. But unfortunately it was not the case. We left our rental car at the AirPort and tried to take a taxi the short drive. But we ended up taking a bus since the taxi drivers wanted a fix price of 30 euros which is way to much for 10 minutes drive. After leaving the bus we had to walk 1,5km with all bags and at some parts on a road without sidewalks.|The hotel itself is really nice and clean and with comfortable beds and big TV. Our kids loved it. The owners were really helpful and offered us a ride to the AirPort the day after...

We stayed at the Romana after two plane rides, and a car ride between airports. The room was small but adequate, and the bathroom had everything we needed, including a nice hot shower. It was a clean and well-kept B&B with a nice outside seating area which we took advantage of. Breakfast in the morning was a little disappointing due to the fact that there were no lunch meats, or vegetables, or hard boiled eggs. The breakfast consisted of mostly store bought, or home made cakes. The coffee maker stopped working after our first cups of coffee, and there was no one there to ask...
