The hotel is excellently located within easy walking distance from a ski lift. If it hadn't been for an ongoing construction at the lot nextdoor, it would have been possible to ski to the hotel in the afternoon as well. ||||The rooms are of an adequate size and impeccably clean. The interior is starting to get a bit dated, however. The beds are comfortable. I had no issues whatsoever with the internet connection in my room. ||||The breakfast was good, with a nice spread. ||||The ski room is a bit narrow, but we had no issues during our visit since people seemed to come and go at different times. I saw someone complaining about it being communal (i.e. not lockers). I have never seen a hotel with lockers for the skis, ever, and I've been to quite a few. The ski room looks like most others in the Alps. ||||Calling the owner rude, as some reviews do, is a bit unfair in my opinion. Sure, she does not talk a lot (or smile a lot for that matter) but she was never unfriendly in conversation. Furthermore, the younger woman who worked the reception desk was very friendly and helpful. ||||As a last note, there are dogs at the hotel, so if you're allergic or very afraid of dogs, this might...
Read moreBooked for a weekend stay with family members. The hotel is a ten - minute walk from the centre but a two - minute walk from the first shops. Our room was on the top floor and had a balcony with a view on the ski slopes. It was spacious enough to comfortably fit 5 people, 3 downstairs and 2 in the loft/gallery part upstairs. The hotel was very clean and airy. The staff were very polite and helpful and as they only do breakfast, they offer a superb service ferrying you to and from a restaurant they have an agreement with. This restaurant has great food by the way! In the hotel the actual breakfast itself is worth a stay here. Eggs and bacon cooked on the spot to your taste, cheese and sliced meats, cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit portions, dried fruit, berries, nuts, seeds, honey and honey on the comb to! There is a variety of bread rolls and cakes to choose from. Individual portions of crisp bread, Swiss bread, crackers, biscuits and small pots of jams and marmalade too. Water, fruit juices, tea and coffee. Such an excellent choice! A great place to stay and if ever in Livigno again I would definitely stay in La...
Read moreFirst of all, La Suisse's location i superb. The closest ski lift is about 100 meters from the hotel and it is possible to ski there (and to ski all the way back to the hotel in the afternoon). The hotel is also on the edge of the village centre, making the location pleasantly quite at night.||||As for the rooms. Adequate size and very clean with nice bathrooms. Our room had a very nice little balcony too. The beds, however, are a tad too hard. ||||Breakfast was very nice, two-three different types of bread, yoghurt with different types of cereal and a nice spread of cheeses and hams for the sandwiches.||||Another nice touch is the bar. The prices are about the same as out on the town and you get a nice little assortment of snacks when you order. The fireplace is very nice after a day on the slopes.||||Some reviewers have complained about the wifi and the attitude of the owners. As for the wifi, I see no reason to complain, I had perfectly good wifi in my room. When it comes to the owners I think the reviews are unfair. In conversation, they are both...
