We stayed in the hotel for a total of 3 nights, three people in one room. The room was a classic double with one extra bed. Quite a small and cramped space for 3 people. The linen was clean, bathroom sufficient (super water pressure, hair dryer, toiletries). We got a new towel every day, the bed was made. We had a balcony, but shared with another room. One socket didn't work, both lamps by the bed didn't work either (turned on/off the main light).
The ski area is right in front of the hotel which is absolutely awesome. No need to deal with the ski bus or other transportation to the slopes.
The overall facilities of the hotel seemed ordinary, quite dated in places and not very attractive. The lady at reception was friendly and helped where she could.
Now for the biggest problem... Dinner and service. Very embarrassing and disappointing. The waitresses had absolutely no idea what to bring to whom. In the few days we were there, they brought us different food each time than we ordered. When we pointed this out to them, we waited another 30 minutes before our food was brought to us. In between, they brought food to guests who arrived long after we did. They handed out soups, right on top of the main course. The next day, first the main dish, then the appetizer and soup... I could go on like this.
Since there were three of us, we had 3 glasses at the table each time. Of course we ordered a bottle of wine and water every day. Each time they just put it on the table and moved on, never bringing us more glasses on their own for a second drink.
The music at dinner is also worth mentioning. I felt like I was at a disco, or in a tiktok edit. It was totally inappropriate for dinner.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel to people who are mainly going skiing, and don't plan on doing anything at the hotel other than sleeping. For someone who enjoys the facilities and programs of the hotel, this is...
Read more|I very rarely leave negative reviews but on this occasion I feel I have no choice. I will start with the positives.....the hotel is excellently located fir access to the slopes, it really could not be better placed. The accommodation was warm and the ski storage was spacious. That’s about where I run out of positives I’m afraid. ||The reception service is poor with no information given when checking in. We had to find our room, find the ski room, find someone to show us how the safe worked as there were no instructions. There were no piste maps available, fir days. In fact we went to the visitor centre and brought enough back fir other guests.||The room was basic at best with insufficient working lightbulbs, a faulty hairdryer, inadequate hot water and rickety furniture. The linen was old, shabby, faded, frayed and my pillow case had a bloodstain on it and my sheet had burn holes in which looked like they had been made by hot cigarette ash. Much of the linen had the name of another hotel on it so I can only assume it to be second hand. Towels however were changed daily which I s unusual these days and actually unnecessary.|The hotel,is noisy, not from the road traffic but from the other guests, the hard floors and thin walls. The rooms are poorly appointed and cleaning was perfunctory.||I could go on, meals were of varying quality, some delicious, some not. Breakfast is poor but the coffee is good. Restaurant service is inconsistent and on occasions rude.||In short, for the money you can stay in a...
Read moreThis is our 3rd visit to PT but first to this hotel. We were given room 106 first impressions OMG basic is the word and as my husband is 6'4" this room/bathroom would not have worked! We have skied since 1990 and not had a room like this!! Yes you only sleep in the room but there has to be some comfort!.the room was very cold after reporting to reception we were moved phew right move. The lady on reception was very nice and helpful. Room 120 larger and the bathroom shall we say was more workable. Location fabulous if the roads were not cleared it would be ski to your door!!.Food - just read the previous review - Breakfast as this is a 3* hotel there is no hot food, but you can boil eggs, we have stayed in many 3* without boiled eggs!! Dinner - the usual lovely salad buffet (though comments were made oh cold veg!!) if you ski in Italy this is salad!!.then pasta choice, then your main meat/vegetarian option/sweet option. The food for a 3* was very good.If you are fussy ski in Scotland!! Only 2 things that we thought were naughty - i asked for a cup of milk one night and was charged 1 euro!! also some of the guys asked if they could have a coffee instead of a sweet and were charged even though they did not have a sweet! On a good note our pick was 6.30am and we had full breakfast speaking to people on the coach most people were given breakfast bags! So thank you Dolomiti for breakfast. Would we return to this hotel yes but not room 106 thank you. All staff...
