Residence Acanto — Hotel in Lipari

This apartment, where we stayed 2 nights, had a good location, tucked back from the street on a hill between one harbor (where ferries arrive) and the (prettier) small boat harbor. Giuseppe kindly met us at the ferry and walked with us (dragging one suitcase) the 10-min walk to the apartment. The apartment was spacious, quiet, clean and comfortable. We did not make much use of the kitchenette but were glad to have the fridge and sink. We also didn’t get a chance to use the rooftop pool, though it looked nice. Giuseppe was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the sunset over the town from our balcony one night. The AC was welcome, and the Wifi worked most of the time. We only had breakfast one day (and it was fine), as we had to run for an early ferry our second morning, missing the b'fast which only started from 8AM. We had a good stay and liked the location between the ferry port and the other (prettier) port where...

These rooms are set in an old building in the old part of town, between the fort and the main pedestrian plaza, only 200m from the port, and an easy walk at that. The rooms are huge and full of character, with all the facilities should you choose to eat in. I've seen some reviews saying that this place is more 3 star than 4 - true, but it has more charm and character than any 4 star place I've ever stayed at! Lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. However, what really makes it for me is manager Giuseppe - what he doesn't know about tours, weather, things to do etc is not worth knowing. He can book anything you want to do right from the hotel. Throw in a decent breakfast and oh so nice supporting staff and I would look no further on my next trip to this...

Our experience at the residence Acanto in Lipari was stunning, the place is beautiful and really well kept, a very pleasant flowers smell follows you to the comfy room through a typical narrow path, where you'll find all you need for your staying. The staff is amazing, friendly, kind and caring they will ease your journey giving you good advices and making you really feel on holidays...all you need to care about is relax! The rooftop of the residence has a small secret: an oasis where if you feel like just chilling out, you can go and lay down, sunbathing and dive into a nice pool with hydro massage.
