We stayed at Casa Clementina for 5 nights during our Italy holidays in July 2022.

Rooms: Casa Clementina is a B&B with 4 rooms. We stayed in one of the 2 rooms facing the ocean. From the 2 sunchaires on the terrace, guests can see parts of Capri, Ischia and the sunset. The view is magnificent. The rooms are clean and tidy. The bed is very comfortable. There is also a minibar (which shouldn't be used for personal items). The quality of the material ( door, Veranda door) is extremely high. An air-conditioning keeps the room at the right temperature. As a suggestion: A table with 2 chairs on the balcony would be great; and a umbrella ⛱️ as well as it gets too hot in the summer months without one. Otherwise: We loved the rooms and are already missing them. The only thing that we didn't like that much was the posters with the many rules hanging on the walls.

Breakfast: The breakfast is a treat. Guest can scan the QR code and see the menu, which is changed and updated on a daily basis. The breakfast is prepared by a very friendly colleague of the owner. From pancakes to scrambled eggs, vegetarian options, pizza and Bruschetta - the breakfast offers everything the heart desires. There is a communal area that you can use next to the breakfast area.

Host & Team: Luigi is the owner of the place. He takes good care of his guests, helps with advice and tips for restaurants. His team consists of Alessia, the receptionist, and another colleague preparing breakfast. There is a cleaning lady coming by everyday. Luigi is very helpful and we want to thank him for his advice and generosity.

How to get there: The B&B is remotely located on the Sorento peninsula. It's close to the main road leading to Sorento. Most guest we spoke with arrived with expensive and uneconomical transportation from Sorento. But there are buses and the buses stop in front of the B&B! We rent a Vespa in Sorrento. This was a great choice and also gave us to move around when we wanted. There is a parking 🅿️ in the premise as well. We highly recommend this solution as it allows you to explore the beautiful beaches and wonderful restaurants in the area at your own pace.

A word on security: There is a security system installed on the premise (there are cameras filming communal areas, pin codes and alarms), which we found a bit too intrusive for our taste. I onced put a chair on the garden and was filmed doing so - and reminded by the receptionist minutes later to put it back on the stone as it could harm the green. While we appreciate the security efforts, especially given the remote location of the area, we believe it's important to leave guests their space to do things their own way and balance privacy vs. security. There are many posters with "rules" that I found a bit too intrusive and present.

Conclusion : We originally wanted to stay 3 nights and extended our stay to 5. We were positively surprised by the cleanliness of the rooms, the amazing view and the helpfulness of Luigi and his team. We would definitely recommend Casa Clementina to all independent travelers who like a pretty apartment with an amazing view. We believe that a little bit less intense rules would make the experience even more pleasing.

Overall, we can't thank Luigi and his team enough to make our stay perfect. Please find some pictures of the view from our balcony at Casa Clementina attached to...

Everything about this stay was EXCEPTIONAL! The location is a bit of a trek (will want a compact vehicle as the lanes around the area are very narrow) but very much worth it! The rooms are beautiful and felt brand new, with LED multi-colored lighting in the bathrooms, rainfall and detachable shower heads and heated and backlit bathroom mirrors! The view from the large private terrace overlooking the bay is stunning, and the AC/heating is probably the best I’ve experienced traveling through southern Europe. The beds are very comfortable and the surrounding area is very quiet, so we slept great! Alessia went above and beyond for us! She set us up with dinner reservations and free transport service to and from the restaurant. Breakfast in the courtyard was amazing, with a variety of pastries and made to order omelettes and coffees. Wish I could give them more stars, it was definitely the best stay on our trip and we can’t wait...
