Eughenes — Restaurant in Massa Lubrense

If you’re looking for an authentic, family-oriented environment, with plenty of amazing Italian dishes, then Eughene’s Is the place for you! The restaurant is family owned and makes one feel right at home. D’antonio, the server was precise and timely, and extremely friendly. His father Enzo, also helped served, and added great humor to the service.

My family and I ate at Eugene’s three consecutive nights because it was so great! It was nothing like anything we had experienced in all of Italy. The menu was simple, but delicious. It consists of a starter, made up of various cheeses, veggies, and meats that go along nicely with the bread. Next, you have the first course, pasta. I ate the ravioli all three nights because it was the best I’ve ever eaten. Then, there is a meat entree, usually steak and some kind of fish. I had swordfish one night, which I would definitely return to eat again, and steak the other. The steak was incredible. The smoked cheese and eggplant ravioli was to die for. However, all of the other pasta dishes were amazing as well. Every dish I tried was something worthy of coming back to eat a second, third, fourth.... every night!!

To top things off, the wine and desserts were outstanding. Everything was incredible, and not like anything I had ever had before.

Please go to Eughene’s!! It will be one of the best decisions you make for your vacation! Thank you Eughene’s staff and family! You guys...

Let me tell you guys something... We had a terrible vacation in Massa Lubrense. Everything went wrong, nothing worked out. BUT! This small restaurant... it changed the last four days of our trip for the better.

The owner is a quirky but awesome and experienced host. He and his son did manage to make us feel at home at all times. It was like sitting down at your mums house for dinner.

The food had love in it. It was simple, yet perfect. Delicious to the last bite. The prices are about 30% under the local standard of the area of Sorrento, but the portions are 50% bigger. This is not only fair, it is a present.

If you manage to get a table, which you will have to reserve a couple of days earlier, do yourself a favor, and do not miss out on the dessert! Nothing I EVER ate for dessert comes close to the passion of the selfmade cakes in this restaurant... Divine...

I regret, that we will most likely never again visit this gem, since we did not enjoy anything around it, but it will remain a very fond culinary memory for all of...

Unpretentious local place for great experience all around - read on.

Went there several times, our experience got consecutively better each time as we created relationship with the staff - good people. The food is simple and really awesome. The 5 stars are for value/experience/quality of food you would get around the area - all high in my opinion.

For the pretentious: don't expect this place to be something that it is not (i.e. a tourist magnet or a super high end fine dining experience), this is in my opinion an awesome local place that has stayed true to its culture and simplicity of great food.

Reiterating: the staff are good people and very friendly, so take time to create a relationship and I promise you'll have a good experience.
