I've lived here for 2 months. Definitely recommend it for people planning to stay 3 weeks+ in Milano.
Price wise it's cheaper than hotels and quality wise I would say it's better than your average 4 stars hotel room
Awesome place to live in! Everything was great! Very clean and safe. Modern building with everything you need.
Location is great as well. The metro station is just in front of the gate of the city pop (less than 30secs). There are plenty of restaurants all around if you are lazy to cook. The supermarket is less than 5mins away.
The flat itself was just the right size for me and my girlfriend.
The common room&facilities were great as well! There's a working space with free water. Got to meet a bunch of people here and there from different countries.
The check-in was easy enough that actual staff wasn't needed.
Customer service on the app is fast and efficient 👍 Friendly as well 🫡
I will definitely try other city pop around Europe!
4 stars instead of 5 for the 3 following reason:
-The room temperature controller didn't work correctly. At some point the air ventilation got switched on and I couldn't turn it off. I've got some allergies triggered but at some point it also stopped randomly and then came back again
-Laundry room can get crowded on some specific days of the week so you have to make sure to adjust your own schedule. You need to time the washing machine and the drying machine well as some people just leave their clothes overnight or for extended period of time which creates time when you have washed your clothes with the washing machine but no drying machine are available
-Check out procedure was a bit messy as there is NO real procedure/steps. There were just some guidelines and information and as I was in a hurry to leave to travel it wasn't my priority. As such, I've got a 100€ penalty fine deducted from my deposit for "additionnal costs for intensive cleaning". An actual person for check out or at least pricing details regarding the penalty would have...
Read moreEDIT -- Since leaving this review, I have been asked by City Pop to delete it. When I asked to see proof that they had to replace my table and countertop, they ignored my message.
Shady Fees: I was charged $300 for what they called a "damaged countertop"—in reality, it was a tiny spot of dried nail glue. They acknowledged it was glue, which is not permanent and could have been removed easily with rubbing alcohol. Despite this, they refused to clean it and charged me anyway. I am uploading a photo, zoom in or you might miss the "damage" I pay a cleaning fee, and had I known this would be an issue, I would have removed it myself before leaving!!! What a money grab.
Mail: There is no front desk or reception area, which made receiving mail extremely difficult. I was unable to have packages delivered directly to me and had to reroute all of my Amazon orders to a locker across the street.
Laundry Room: The laundry room was a consistent issue. It was almost always crowded because there weren’t enough machines for the number of residents. During my stay, around five washers and dryers were completely missing—not broken, just not there
Cleaning: Finally, while the cleaning staff were kind, their arrival times were unpredictable. Sometimes they came as early as 10:30 AM, other times not until 2 PM. Since you're required to leave the room while they clean, it made it difficult to...
Read moreI’ve lived here for 3 months now and it’s NEAR DEAR IMPOSSIBLE to contact CityPop if you need something. Emergency or not, there’s no one you can call. They put “call us for more information” and “call us if there’s an emergency” on their app but that’s all BS. I’m a tenant and there’s no way I can reach the people I’m renting from? There’s also no reception where you can speak to someone :/ if you have a leak or you’re locked out or any type of emergency, you are ON YOUR OWN. I gave the 2 stars because I’ve not had any issues living here. There’s also no way to receive your packages if you’re not home, so Goodluck with that as well. The unlocking the door with the app hasn’t worked for me once and they gave me a generic code the day I moved in and I’ve since then asked for it to be changed since I noticed someone had gone into my room. Maybe it was by a CityPop staff, but a bag I left right outside my room when I left for work was inside my room when I got back home, so explain that. The location is good and the apartment itself is nice and that’s what the 2...
