The owner is incredibly pleasant—polite, attentive, and genuinely invested both in her business and in a healthy lifestyle, which is reflected in many details throughout the hotel.
Although the building itself could use some renovation, everything is spotless, and during my stay part of the hotel was already being refurbished. They were also preparing to open a new spa area on the third floor. While I was staying in this charming little town, I had time to walk around and visit a few nearby hotels. But this one caught my heart with its style: the sculptures around the pools and across the grounds evoke a cultural aesthetic that adds a real sense of comfort. The owner even created her own line of cosmetics, which they use for massages and facial and body treatments. I’m already dreaming of coming back and experiencing the full range of services. Of course, there were a few things that felt unusual to me—for example, the hotel doesn’t provide an iron at all, and breakfast offers a very limited selection, unlike the wonderful lunches and dinners. Extremely cheap feeling having paid premium for a stay during covid, but now that it was reimbursed it was worth nothing despite the original price for several hundred euros. Every corner of the hotel is a mess, and it is filled up with old furniture from another time that takes up all the space, and makes the place look packed and overfurnished. The pool area is nice, and especially the naturally heated outdoor pool makes the hotel worth a visit, but that quickly faints when you despite having paid for a pool stay are forced to pay a couple of euros for a swim cap, while standing in your swimwear on your way to the bassin. The style of service that the staff shows their guests is embarrassing and having travelled in Italy for 25 years this is the first time that I felt like being in a tourist trap. Struttura con del potenziale che purtroppo NON viene assolutamente sfruttato a pieno e di sicuro non a 4 stelle. La causa? Struttura a conduzione familiare. Il ché si traduce in: poca professionalità e intraprendenza nell'investire sul miglioramento dell'attivita con una gestione "al risparmio" da parte di personale over 50/60 che tanto aspetta solo di andare in pensione e cedere la baracca. Da dove iniziare? La struttura è grande e architetturalmente bella, ma riversa nell'incuria più totale sia negli spazi interni che esterni. Iniziamo dagli ESTERNI: All'esterno sono presenti dei macchinari da palestra sotto un gazebo totalmente inutilizzabili in quanto arrugginiti, vecchi, mal tenuti e abbandonati alle interperie. Lo stesso dicasi per un tavolino da ping-pong e un vicino campo da tennis, ambedue sporchi e logori. Le piscine sono tenute bene fortunatamente, ma unicamente perché trattandosi di una struttura termale se così non fosse non ci sarebbero davvero altri motivi per metterci piede. Sauna, bagno turco e altri servizi wellness buoni, nella media. INTERNI: Bellissima reception con arredamento vintage di antiquariato che viene riproposto anche negli interni delle camere. Tuttavia "vintage" non deve arrivare a significare vecchio, malandato e trascurato. Coniugare questo stile con i confort della modernità non è semplice ma doveroso. Cambiate la tappezzeria di scale e corridoi che fa davvero schifo per quanto è sporca e annerita e ridate una tinteggiatura ai muri in maniera uniforme, non dando 2 pennellate solo nei punti interessati sempre per risparmiare. Una "Palestra" che è un insulto chiamarla tale, con due attrezzi cardio impolverati del 1863. Si farebbe più bella figura a non citarla nel presentare la struttura. CUCINA: Personale "di famiglia" poco professionale che dà l'aria di un' "improvvisata", dal maitre, ai camerieri, e probabilmente anche lo chef. Parliamoci chiaro: non si possono vedere camerieri e cameriere over 50, è brutto. Fa capire subito che aria tira, ma ovviamente di "assumere" non se ne parla, salvo il ragazzetto che fa la stagionale, che infatti era l'unico presente. Eh questi giovani! Non vogliono lavorare vero? Però poi chi è che versando i contributi vi pagherà una pensione che non vedranno mai? Per lo chef stesso discorso, vista la cucina mediocre e i piatti mangiabili ma nulla di ché sarà sicuramente anche lui della famiglia e non uno "di scuola".
