The most important thing you need to know/realise in advance about Casanova is that it is on the first floor of the building, and entry is only by means of the gate at the far right end of the building. We actually felt quite frustrated on arrival as none of the gates were open (not realizing at the time that the central pair belong to the unconnected pizzeria and which was not open). Read moreCasanova… Not a hotel or a B&B. Cash only. No breakfast (a few mini packaged items roll/crackers/pastry in room with sugary juice box), no coffee (odd there was a community kitchen with coffee machine but he wouldn’t let us have any coffee pods), thin walls, noisy streets with sirens throughout the night, small rooms with too big bed frame which we hit our legs below the knees OUCH! Mattress 6” flat terrible that doesn’t fill the big frame, no box spring. The floors weren’t flat as they sloped strangely. Shampoo packets but no conditioner. The gentleman didn’t speak any English and wasn’t Italian as he spoke broken Italian giving us a room and kitchen tour (we arrived in the evening departed 7am). This place is a set of rooms on a floor of an apartment building. You have to beg him to use the wall unit air conditioner (requires remote control to operate). |There was really absolutely no excuse for not letting us have coffee,...

The position of the hotel is perfect as it's just outside the center of Padova, and right near the Train and Bus station, making day trips to surrounding areas a breeze! The room was cozy, comfortable, clean and well equipped, and the bathroom was splendid in both cleanliness and size! Mattia is a very loving and caring man, I've never felt more welcome at a hotel than I have here, he does an amazing job making sure everything is running well, and you are having a great stay! Grazie Mattia, this hotel...
