Tuo Hotel (Hotel l'Abbate) — Hotel in Polignano a Mare

We were travelling to a destination wedding and needed a stopover location en route to our wedding. We liked the location of Tuo as it was just off the main road, really easy for us to find and get to and offered ample safe parking.||They were responsive to my email query when booking, so we knew exactly what to expect and the hotel matched our expectations on arrival. Check in was simple, quick and efficient despite our woeful lack of Italian. We were shown to our room, which was well presented, spacious and immaculately clean. The room had an excellent air conditioning unit, simple to use and controlled the room conditions very well. The shower was powerful and there was abundant hot water.||We had an evening meal at their restaurant and despite being fully booked our order came to the table very quickly and the food was excellent. Very tasty and perfectly prepared. We then moved to the bar and had several 'digestif' and retired for an excellent nights' sleep.||Breakfast was as advertised, a plentiful continental spread as you would expect, with something for everyone. Again, everything was super fresh and tasty. We had a leisurely breakfast and multiple coffees!||The staff were so warm and welcoming, keen to overcome our lack of Italian, sorry! Even though we only stayed there for one night, we felt like they were old friends. We had terrible service at this hotel. The girl checking us in did not give us any information about the property and did not mention that there would be a party with live music, fireworks, and a DJ until 2 am, on hotel property, right outside our room. We would have made other arrangements if we had known in advance. When we asked the hotel for help, they did nothing- even though they could’ve offered to move us to another room- the hotel was not full. When we asked to speak with the director at checkout, he pretended not to speak English and completely ignored us.
