Carone Suite Charme&Pool Bed&Breakfast Polignano Puglia — Hotel in Polignano a Mare

We stayed here for 7 days and really loved it. As one reviewer has written, yes this hotel is located next to the motorway which means you can't really walk into the centre and have to get a shuttle, but for 10 euros (return included anytime) I really don't think that was a big deal or very expensive. We got a taxi into the centre every day and didn't have any problems. ||||The pool is lovely, there are lots of comfy deckchairs to lounge around on. They do play music, but they did come around and turn it down. I would think if we had asked them to turn it off they would have! The staff were all really pleasant and couldn't help us enough. I personally found the pool very relaxing regardless of any noise from the road or music. ||||Our room was lovely, complete with air-con and a nice big bathroom! The towels were changed everyday and the bed was always re-made. ||||The food in the hotel was delicious. Breakfast had a wide variety of cakes, bread, cheese, jam, and other spreads and lots of coffee, fruit juice etc. I have a nut allergy and the team were very helpful in offering me food that was safe for me to eat. ||||We arranged a transfer with the hotel which was cheaper than a taxi would have cost us and they picked us up on time and dropped us off with no problems.||||The staff were all really lovely, even though we spoke very little Italian, they answered all of our questions and knew the area very well to give recommendations. ||||Thank you Antonio and family, we had a lovely time and will definitely try...

· I would not recommend Carone suites, we had booked and paid for 4 days and only stayed for 2 nights. Beware of the location it is right next to a very busy dual carriageway, the main coastal road from Bari to Brindisi and very noisy and the smell of car fumes/pollution is constant. You cannot walk anywhere from the location to shops or restaurants and must travel either by car or taxi. The only taxis are the 3 wheeler tut tut cars and a return trip into the centre of Polignano is €24 for 2 people. The beds around the pool are made from wooden pallets and everything felt it had been made cheaply. The variety at breakfast was good but it was served in what looked like a garage with curtains around it. My daughter came up with a good description, we had been ‘catfished’ the photos online do not reflect the accommodation...

This is a five roomed hotel with a beautiful pool, lovely gardens and very modern furnishings in the room.||Another review mentioned you could hear the traffic but this is only around the pool and the upside to this is that you are so central to everything it's minutes to get on the moterway and so easy to get to all major tourist areas. The town is five minutes away but you do need a car. You can get a little pick up car for around €10.00.||There is secure parking also.||The breakfast was good and plentiful and the hosts were so helpful and friendly.||We would return to stay here if we went back to this area.||The grounds are beautifully kept with lots of lovely plants and flowers.
