If you're looking for close proximity to two nice beaches and are prepared to pay a 3-star hotel price for the most basic accommodation, you will probably enjoy this place. As frequent travellers to many places in Italy and beyond, we found this place to lack a basic standard and for what it offers it felt rather pricey and bad value for money.||||To start with the positive aspects of these apartments: it is within 3 minutes walking distance to 2 beautiful beaches, Padulella and Capo Bianco. The private beach access that is mentioned on the website does not lead to Capo Bianco beach, but leads to Padulella beach which we personally found less attractive than Capo Bianco with its white pebbles and cliffs. Both are public beaches and can get quite crowded, even during weekdays.||The apartment has relatively new bathroom facilities which are well functioning. The fridge is large enough and not too old. There are 2 sun loungers that can be taken to the beach.||||Now to the disappointing aspects and the reasons why we seriously considered leaving straight after we arrived and why we would certainly not return: ||The apartment was quite dark with 3 windows looking to a courtyard. There is a reason why they don't show any pictures from inside the apartments on their website and we would recommend checking this before going...||The flat is small and not very tidy, to say the least: The floor was dirty, as if unwiped for a long time. The bed also rather lacked hygiene, as we got well-used, rather filthy looking wool blankets and only a sheet to cover them. No proper protective duvet. ||The apartment was equipped with old furniture, 70s/youth hostel style and clearly well-used, old kitchen utilities (knives that don't cut properly, no wine glasses, lids where the knob comes off)... ||||Further, we had to buy all the basics ourselves, incl. dishwashing liquid, sponge and toilet paper (not a big deal, but not great either and different from other apartments we've stayed at). We even had to buy a lighter for the gas herd, as we'd risk burning our hands when igniting it with just the cigarette lighter provided. All these things would be acceptable if it was reflected in the price, which it wasn't, compared to other much better equipped places.||||One further thing to notice: at the time there was a noisy building site just opposite the apartment complex and you could hear the noises from about 8am. No mention of this on the website or in any communication.||||We had to pay for the stay upon arrival, which we found very unusual, especially given what I described above.||||Overall, we're perplexed to see so many positive reviews from other people...well, you can focus on having a good beach time ignoring all the rest (which we did, too, although we couldn't enter the water for 3 out of 4 days due to a medusa plague). There's a lot of unused potential and fixing/improving a few things could make a big difference. ||At the moment, this place rather feels like a rip-off which even the nicest beach cannot...
Read moreSpent a week in 2 person apartment. Philippo was a friendly host and showed us the apartment and ran through the facilities before handing over the key.||||Apartment was small, with open plan bedroom come diner-kitchenette. The bed was firm and comfortable, adequate space for clothes in curtained wardrobe space. The bathroom was roomy with shower, washbasin, WC and bidet. We just about managed on the two-ringed gas hob for cooking (though smaller one was temperamental, going out at times). There were two loungers, two chairs and a table outside on the front patio, under a bamboo awning. The apartment was very clean. Air-conditioning is available at a little extra cost. Besides the gas hob, other quibble was with the sticking bathroom door and soundproofing could be better,||||Location is fine - a stroll across the carpark takes you down a short flight of steps to the small shingle beach. And the centre of Portoferraio is a leisurely 30 minute walk.||||The apartment is reasonably priced for a sunny holiday spot - I'd deduct a star rating if the weather was bad as it would feel cramped if you couldn't make use of the...

La prossima volta prenoterò qualcosa di eccezionale in quest'area.||||Purtroppo, non posso raccomandare questo posto.||||(google-translated)||Very small room (apartment 'L') for 4 persons, the price of 1190 Euro \ week, resp. 1400 Euro \ week way too high! Price / performance does not match.||The kitchen equipment is meager and incomplete. Furniture is already old and is not maintained. The cleanliness is not taken very seriously. Too bad that the owner Filippo has insisted despite asking for the high price.||Wi-Fi did not work at the beginning, but that was fixed on the same day.||||The location is good, right on the beautiful pebble beach. On foot to Portoferraio is in cozy 30min. reachable.||||In Marino di Campo (by car 25 minutes) is the range of shops a lot bigger and there I also found offers the cheaper and the apartment better equipped (dishwasher, washing machine, etc.) are and also close to the beach.
