Spiaggia delle Ghiaie — Attraction in Portoferraio

Very nice little beach with a relaxed atmosphere, and not too busy even on a weekend in July. It is a gravelly and slightly rocky beach, so if you're cleverer than me you'll bring rock shoes. The public beach areas were quite crowded and noisy, but the sunbed areas were quieter and sunbed hire was the most reasonable we found on the island starting at 14 euros for two sunbeds and an umbrella. First beach experience in Elba and it was brilliant. Crystal clear water with beautiful weather made it special experience. You swim with little fish around you (don't worry they don't bite). If you are lucky , you will see the birds catching the fish. It is white pebble beach so bring some water proof feet slippers. We brought water proof shoes for 12 € and it was good. Spiaggia comoda e facile da raggiungere. È situata a pochi passi dal centro di Portoferraio. Il parcheggio è pubblico e si paga a ore. La spiaggia delle ghiaie è caratterizzata da ciottoli piccoli bianchi ed è possibile sia optare per il lido attrezzato e poter usufruire di lettini o sdraio e ombrellone(nella settimana di ferragosto il prezzo è di 35€ al giorno) oppure scegliere di usufruire della parte libera e attrezzarsi con mezzi propri. È possibile portare il proprio amico a 4 zampe nel rispetto però degli altri bagnati. Possono tuttavia fare il bagno fino alle 9 del mattino e dopo le 18. Alle spalle del litorale ci sono bar e ristoranti dove poter concedersi una buona pausa pranzo o un aperitivo a prezzi modici e godersi il panorama di questa semplice ma bellissima spiaggia. Inoltre è presente un parco giochi libero coperto da alberi quindi all ombra per poter far divertire anche i più piccini senza dover spendere cifre assurde e senza ustionarsi dal sole. Le ghiaie sono un ottima alternativa per chi come me vuole in ogni occasione mangiare o bere con dinanzi il mare. Quindi volendo ci si può venire anche la sera e gustare una pizza discreta, andare al ristorante per mangiare qualcosa di più elaborato o semplicemente fare aperitivo.
