IL DIRETTO HOTEL — Hotel in Potenza

We arrived on Friday evening, tired and sweaty, after travelling for more than 10 hours. We had to attend a wedding the following morning by driving another 50 miles. The attendant kindly waited for us before closing the reception for the night. Only upon arrival were we informed that there was no water available, as it was being rationed by the city due to persistent drought. This was not an unforeseen measure, yet we had not been told anything, and neither did the website mention this detail, apparently considered insignificant. The lady assured, „however“ (…) that we would be able to shower the next morning from 6:00 AM. At 8:00 AM, the water was still not available, and our complaints were joined by those of another couple, furious about the lack of information, evidently hidden to avoid any cancellation. Given the growing tension, the maid/receptionist called the owner on the phone, and the tone between the four escalated even more, to the point that the host, for some reason, but surely believing himself to be in the right, called the police.||I don’t know what happened afterward because while the altercation continued, we left the establishment (we had paid the bill in advance), dirty as the previous evening and without even being able to brush our teeth. It was simply shocking to see how neither the maid nor the owner felt the need to provide any assistance. “We can’t prepare a bucket of water for every room, can we?” said the innocent young lady. “Not just a bucket, but even some PET bottles,” we replied, incredulous! Decisions of force majeure taken by the public authority—understandable as they may be—should not exempt hosts to offer every reasonable comfort. Yet that is exactly what happened, revealing a total passivity and lack of duty in hospitality. It would have been enough to inform us and provide water bottles, which we would have gladly paid for if necessary. Nella stanza Roma, il letto matrimoniale ha una struttura in legno che sporge in modo anomalo in alcuni punti e le cui sporgenze vengono sapientemente nascoste, in modo poco intelligente, con i pizzi del copriletto. Il risultato è che al passaggio raso letto, ti ritrovi con un piede livido ed un'unghia del piede saltata. La mattina è impossibile fare una colazione con la TV solo in sottofondo, poiché l'addetta alla reception verrà ad alzarla a tutto volume per sentirla fino all'ingresso. Lo shampoo a disposizione non ti permette di lavare nulla. Le camere sono abbastanza pulite e silenziose. La temperatura del condizionatore non può essere modificata. Ho soggiornato in questo piccolo ed accogliente hotel 3 giorni e devo dire che è stata un'esperienza estremamente piacevole. Riescono a far sentire il cliente coccolato, andando incontro ad ogni tipo di esigenza. Gli ambienti sono sempre molto puliti, le stanze sono molto belle e moderne, i sevizi sempre impeccabili, parcheggio comodissimo. Non volevo più andar via.. Il personale è davvero garbato, faccio i complimenti in particolare a Rossella, che è sempre stata presente e disponibile durante la nostra permanenza. Il titolare, persona squisita, saprà gestire le vostre richieste e preferenze nel migliore dei modi. Sicuramente questo hotel sarà il nostro riferimento su Potenza e dintorni....
