We stayed at this hotel beginning of July and had a wonderful time there. This is a family business with really nice people, passionate about what they do and no matter what, they do it with a genuine smile all the time. The Pros: new spacious rooms, large walk-in shower, large balconies with coffee table and chairs, very good WiFi service, nice garden with swings, tables & chairs, sunbeds and a small aromatic herbs raised bed. The food was a bit repetitive at breakfast, if you stay for a week, it gets a little bit boring. And it's the first time I stay at a hotel where I have to boil my eggs for breakfast, and pay extra if you want it sunny side up, but we turned a blind eye and we enjoyed the rest. Dinnertime was a totally different story, the chef's 4-course menu was absolutely stunning. I still remember the canolo with porcini veloutรฉ or the salmon crostini with wasabi icecream. It was way beyond what you'd expect from a 3* hotel dinner, all very well thought in terms of taste, texture and plating.|The cons: rooms on the street side were quite noisy, we couldn't sleep well at all. The balcony although nicely furnished and with beautiful view, it was difficult to use as you practically sit 3 meters from the main road. Being charged for tap water at dinner was in huge contrast with the warm hospitality concept they try to create. I understand in Italy they charge even for the air you breathe ๐ but, I would have preferred paying 30Eur more for the accommodation and being offered "on the house" the tiny bottle of water (frizzante or still) at dinner. It's a minor detail but it leaves a better impression in the end. |All in all, we had a fabulous holiday there, the Dolomites are simply out of this world. Tre Cime, Seceda, Cinque Tori and Braies Lake are MUST-SEEs. We've been there for a week and there was so much to see and do that we plan to come back next year. We highly recommend Hotel Gardenazza in Alta Badia, the Irsara family are such wonderful people with a genuine passion for what they do. We felt welcome and cared for, and that's what hospitality should all be about. A big "thank you" to the lovely Miriam, Oskar and the restaurant team for their efforts to give us a great time in the Dolomites. And grazie mille for the little bread you gave us for the road when we checked-out, it was simply delicious. If you start a cooking class, I'd be the first to join ๐๐ป Double thank you from us and see...
ย ย ย Read more10/10. We spent a perfect ski week in Alta badia and Hotel Gardenazza made a huge contribution in this holiday. Wonderful hotel with a good price and and excellent hosts.
Rooms: Modern furnishings, wonderful beds and excellent shower. I especially want to note the cleanliness. This is the cleanest hotel in all our trips around Europe. We had room with balkony on backyard and mountains.
Food: We had a half board and it was super. A great breakfast with variety of sweet and savoury options. Also, I would especially like to mention the dinners. Every dinner is unique and as served like in Michelin restaurant. Local products, an extensive wine list, all of this was the best end to every day.
Spa/Sauna: Clean and cozy spa area with Finnish sauna, massage shower and infrared cabin.
Ski details: We had three options to travel to skilift (1) By car, hotel has a lot of parking places, 5 min to La Villa, 10 min to Corvara (2) Skibus. The skibus stop is located right outside the hotel, it was around 7-10 min to La Villa gondola. (3) Private ski shuttle to La Crusc, every 5-10 mins in morning. I really recommenf do not skip this options, La crusc has a slope and lift connections with La villa (~1h) and have a nice viewpoint with church.
To summarize, I can really recommend a stay at the Hotel Gardenazza. Thanks...

They pay attention to all the details, little surprises that make your stay truly special and unforgettable. The food was fantastic, from a great breakfast to delicious, perfectly prepared four-course dinners in the evening. We also loved the aperitivo before dinner, either at the reception or in their beautiful garden with mountain views. Their homemade drinks were such a nice touch. ||Mirjam was so kind and friendly host, always present and making sure everything is perfect. We also had a really nice waiter during dinners and breakfasts, friendly and super attentive, he remembered what we liked to order. ||The hotel itself is beautiful and spotlessly clean, rooms have great views. The location is perfect if you want to explore the famous Dolomites spots and hikes, go on endless hikes, or just enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Winter must be great here too, with so many ski slopes nearby. And thereโs a bus stop right in front of the hotel, which can be really handy if you want to leave the car behind. ||This review could be so long, but I want everyone to have the same wow experience, so no more detaills here :) ||Thank you for an...
