The hotel, staff, facilities and location are amazing! This was the second time we stayed at this hotel with the wonderful hospitality of the owners Natalie and Roberta. This time we also brought five families of our closest friends. What and incredible week we had together! This is an independent, family run business with wonderful staff, some of whom have been working at the hotel for over 30 years! It is obvious why Natalie and Roberta retain such loyal staff: they are kind and treat their staff and guests like family. ||Now let's talk about the food! The hotel restaurant is first class. The breakfasts are included and offer both al a carte and buffet with everything you can imagine. The food is always fresh and delicious. If you choose to have full board or just pay to have dinner, you will not be disappointed! It is like dining at a Michelin star restaurant! ||The Spa is luxurious and large with wonderful quiet rooms for relaxation, multiple saunas, steam rooms, cold baths, jacuzzi, and my favorite: the Panorama Sauna with the most wonderful view of the inimitable Dolomite mountains. ||There is a large bar that can accommodate groups of friends which often has excellent live music or DJs playing. We had too much fun! The best kept secret is the Wine Bar in the wine cellar. For those of you who love wine La Majun has and outstanding selection of local, regional and other Italian and International wines. Natalie is a qualified sommelier and has an extensive knowledge of the cellar which is managed by her friendly father. She focuses on wine that is excellent but not expensive, so the few après glasses will delight but not break the bank. ||As you can see, I cannot recommend La Majun highly enough! I...
Read moreIf you've never been to the Dolomites, now is the time to book your trip—and when you do, you absolutely need to stay at Hotel La Majun. From the moment our family of four walked through the doors of this charming boutique hotel, we felt completely at home. The hotel's design is stunning, with spacious and incredibly comfortable rooms that offer breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. The in-room water was also a very convenient touch.
The spa is nothing short of spectacular, featuring a variety of dry and wet saunas, an indoor pool, a hot tub, and even a cold plunge! One of the saunas even has direct views of the mountains—a truly serene experience.
What really made our stay unforgettable was the staff. They treated us like family, always greeting us with a smile and accommodating every request. A special shoutout to Nico, one of the waiters at the restaurant, who made our dining experience even more enjoyable. We traveled with two other groups, and the hotel was kind enough to provide us with a large table so we could all sit together for breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, it was abundant and delicious, with the best coffee made to order.
There’s also a daily happy hour from 2 to 6 PM, offering an assortment of free pastries and custom-made drinks—a lovely way to relax after a day of exploring.
The hotel's location is also incredibly convenient. We were able to hike all around the area, with lifts just a short distance away. There's a supermarket right across the street, and plenty of excellent restaurants nearby.
Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with Hotel La Majun and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Dolomites. I can't wait...
Read moreMy husband and I stayed for a week at Hotel La Majun as our base location for an anniversary hiking trip. It was outstanding! The location is great for exploring the best of the Dolomites and it is much less crowded than the major cities you typically read about for this area. While there are fewer restaurants, bars etc in La Villa, you don't need to worry because the food and service at La Majun is top notch. The breakfast is excellent- great fresh juices, beautiful locally made breads, cheeses and jams, eggs/meat, and delicious fresh pastries- and will power you through you hiking or biking adventures for the day. The dinner is also lovely and they will cater to your dietary requests. The staff is so lovely and they pay so much attention to all of the details.||We also enjoyed the wellness area with beautiful saunas, steam room, pool and places to relax and unwind from a day of activity. ||Our room had an extraordinary view. It was on the smaller side but very clean and comfortable. We honestly were not spending tons of time there anyway.||The towns of La Villa and adjacent San Cassiano have some lovely shops and places to rent bikes or get information on hiking. There are some nice little restaurants as well if you want pizza or something more casual than the hotel meal. The Alta Badia tourism offices (in both towns) are a great place to get suggestions on hikes to suit your mood/level of activity for the day.||We cannot wait to come back to Hotel La Majun. Roberta, Natalie and their team are wonderful hosts and we adored our stay in...
