Residence Mugun — Hotel in Pustertal - Val Pusteria

First trip to Corvara but judging by websites these appartments were superior in space and comfort to most others. Attractive well designed appointment with lots of wood and under floor heating. Beautiful views from apartment. Very friendly and helpful owners, patient with our limited Italian (but access to English speaking member of the family if needed). The apartment gets cleaned regularly, reducing the work of a self catering hol. It was -15C outside while we were there but toasty in the apartment always but you can turn heating down at night which is great. All mod cons in boot room with drier lockers. Very reliable ski bus - there are 2 nearby stops on different routes so seldom have to wait more than 10 mins and they run to timetable. It is the far side of the river to the main town but it is a short walk in (10 mins to top of town) if you don't want the bus. Big TV in living room and also in the the bedrooms. I've stayed in this place for a week on a ski holidays with friends. We were 3 couples and had one room each of us, all different styles but equally beautiful, clean and perfect for a long stay. A fully functional kitchen and dinner area was great for us to relax and have a glass of wine. | Also have a balcony so you don't need to go downstairs if you are smoker. | The view from one of the rooms was facing the mountain and the view was stunning. | The staff at the hotel was amazing. Despite their English is not good and our Italian is poor they manage to understand all our needs and were always friendly and cheerful. | The hotel is also a walking distance from the lifts and mains restaurants in town. | If you are looking for an accommodation in Corvara, look no further. Residence Mugun exceeded my expectations. The location, within walking distance to the centre, is quiet yet close to everything. The hosts were more than helpful and hospitable, even offering us a choice of apartments. We found the apartment (U) clean, well maintained and very comfortable. We were allowed to utilise the Residence's laundry facility as we noted Corvara doesn't have a laundromat. This was absolutely no problem to either the owners or the housekeepers. The apartments are cleaned every other day with clean towels and linen depending on length of stay. I can understand why this has such a high rating on Trip Advisor.
