Tl;Dr: do not the salad
My husband and I went there twice. The first time we tried the local specialities and it was quite tasty. Hence the second star on the food.
We went back and ordered some bruschetta and some salad. And that's when everything went to hell.
Now, for the bruschetta - if you're going to the lengths to offer "Bruschetta Toscana" aka Fettunta, aka making me pay 11 euro for a taste of my childhood, at least do it properly. You have decent oil in your salad trays, what in the world was that abysmal juice that you put on my bread?! It was white, not green like oil should be, and it tasted like bitter disappointment. The bread was also no more than a paper-thin-crusted slab of frozen loaf, but the awful quality of the oil really sent me. Please do a favour to all poor Tuscan tourists and stop offering this dish. The other bruschetta was also not great, but at least it didn't feel like a personal offence, just a national one.
Then for the saddest dish of my life - the salad. The "salad" was in total 7 leaves, withered and brown at the edges like my soul after trying to eat them. The other ingredients were equally miserable, spread wide on a huge plate to make it look as if it was more food. Took notes from Bilbo Baggins there? We live in Germany, we lived in Hamburg, possibly the universal hometown of bad salad, and this was by far the worst salad we've ever been served. The price was an audacity: 16 euros. Had this happened a couple of centuries ago, I'd have duelled you not to pay for it.
The waitress (bless her soul) tried to save herself from my inner Karen saying they "make so many of them so everything's fresh", so I can only assume that our salads were amongst the few that had been forgotten outside of the fridge for the weekend. But she did give us a two euros discount, which I found unironically very nice of her.
I mean, eat here if you want, but remember: do not the salad.
And if you're from Tuscany, stay away from that...
Read moreTerrible experience with waiting staff. We were seated promptly and ordered our meal. Unfortunately there was a misunderstanding where we were brought the wrong dish. Instead of the waiter correcting this and agreeing there must have been a misunderstanding, she was extremely rude and insisted it was our fault and had ordered this dish. We had not and therefore declined it. The waiter then tried to make us pay for this dish that we had never ordered in the first place at the end of the meal. It seemed very sneaky as she never even brought a receipt we could have easily been mislead. Although it was rightly removed from the bill in the end, the waiter was so rude, with an aggressive tone and made us feel very...
Read moreWe had an exceptional dining experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the incredibly friendly staff. Their attentiveness was remarkable—they checked on us every few minutes to ensure we had everything we needed, without being intrusive.
The service was impressively fast; we got our order very quickly. As for the food, it was absolutely delicious. The pizza was perfectly cooked with a wonderful balance of flavors, and the pasta was just as delightful. We also tried the tiramisu dessert, which was amazing and the perfect end to our meal.
Overall, [Restaurant Name] exceeded our expectations in every way. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for great food and...
