Massimi city garden hotel — Hotel in Rome

Our biggest problem with this hotel was that it was listed as a 4-star accommodation, when clearly it is not. If it was listed as anything below that we probably would not be so unsatisfied with our experience.||||The rooms itself was a very old style, reminiscent of interior designs of hotels from the 1970s. Certainly one of the drawing factors for the hotel would be the large balconies, however the downside of that is that the rooms ended up being quite dusty. The shower was very small.||||The amenities were meagre - there was no kettle in the room, which I found extremely disappointing. Was told to go down to the bar every time I wanted hot water.||||Location of the hotel is not convenient - it is about a 15 minute uphill walk from the closest supermarket and area of restaurants. The restaurant in the hotel itself is also not great - dinner is on the expensive side with few choices. Breakfast had a good variety. Breakfast staff was a bit of a hit and miss - one was very friendly and attentive, and an other were just downright rude and uncaring to other customers in the restaurant (though that is life, I suppose!)||||The most attractive aspect of this hotel is probably that it is closer to Vatican City than some others - if that is the most important place for your trip to Rome, then this may be a good choice. However, for the average tourist, it may just be easier to stay somewhere closer to all the other tourist attractions.||||I don't wish to be so hard on this hotel especially as the prices listed here on Tripadvisor seem quite low - if you do choose this hotel, please do not expect anywhere close to a 4-star level of amenities...

O hotel superou muito nossas expectativas, buscávamos uma estadia próxima ao Vaticano, Estadio Olímpico, estacionamento, e um bom custo x benefício, sabíamos que para o centro teríamos de usar transporte público, aliás em Roma é super fácil se você não tem problemas com isso e está próximo a paradas de ônibus ou estação metropolitana, você paga 1,50 euros o bilhete válido por (100 min.) ||O hotel oferece serviço de transfer para o Vaticano-estação Cipro, basta reservar na recepção um dia antes, os horários são fixados pelo hotel ida e volta.||Há duas paradas de ônibus próximas linhas 913 e 990 que te levam até estação Ottaviano, próximo ao centro histórico, o hotel disponibiliza as informações impressas para o hóspede. ||Optamos por usar o transfer até o Cipro e pegar metropolitana até estação Términi e descer ali e ir caminhando, mas, você tem opções de ônibus no Termini para descer mais próximo aos locais. Enfim tudo é uma aventura.||Nas visitas ao Vaticano, voltávamos de ônibus para o hotel, sempre tem uma parada de ônibus das linhas acima, descíamos sempre na via Trionfale, Prisciano, uma dica é sempre solicitar ao motorista as paradas próximas ao hotel para não passar direto, os letreiros não informavam, ou usar o GPS do celular mesmo, sempre muito útil.||A estrutura do hotel é grande uns 4-5 andares, calefação em todos os ambientes, serviço de bar, restaurante, estacionamento, parquinho....o nosso quarto era pequeno para circulação, o banheiro era bom com banheira e uma ducha forte e quente.||No quarto calefação, cofre, mesa de trabalho, armário espaçoso, frigobar com apenas águas disponíveis diariamente, não é cortesia. ||o café da manhã bom e variado.||Meu marido fez a reserva pelo site do hotel, ficamos 05 dias, e o ponto negativo, foi que na saída fomos informados da taxa de soggiorno 6 euros por pessoa/por dia...ou seja um susto, meu marido não conferiu se esta informação está descrita no site, mas na recepção está visível no balcão, uma lei que vigora desde 2014 se não me engano, porém só informaram no saída, enfim as leis italianas.||O grande diferencial do hotel é a equipe, recepção, café da manhã, Shuttle principalmente o motorista do Equador muito simpático, atencioso.||No café da manhã, fomos surpreendidos com um Bom dia, tudo bem? foi demais, o menino napolitano, e o outro senhor são muito queridos.||Na recepção também tem umas figuras, são brincalhões, sarristas, divertidos, compreendem um pouco seu idioma, realmente te deixam muito a vontade, o hotel está de parabéns pelos funcionários!!!||Próximo ao hotel tem comércio fácil, voltaria...

We stayed at the Massimi City Garden Hotel for 4 days and it was an enjoyable experience. Accommodations are great and neat and you can tell the hotel is new. Location is great and even when the hotel is a little bit far from all the crowded places in Rome, you can easily get to all the touristic places very fast. Vatican City it’s only 15 mins away by car. The staff is amazing. They provided us with a map of the city and recommended places to eat and visit. Their breakfast is very good, full of healthy choices to eat and the staff is around the restaurant cleaning and maintaining everything neat for people to enjoy. I would definitely stay there again in my next visit to Rome and I will absolutely recommend this hotel to my family...
