Relais La Canfora — Hotel in Rome

My husband and I stayed here 8/29/16 thru 9/4/16 and it was the first B&B we ever stayed at. From the moment the gates opened and we walked onto Caterina's property we were in awe!! The property and the house were beautiful! We couldn't believe we were in the city! Pictures on the website don't do it all justice! You feel like you are out in the country! We loved all the animals --- the adorable little pony, the dogs (so friendly), the chickens (never saw such beautiful chickens) and the ducks! The entire grounds were so peaceful and beautiful. At night when these beautiful big ball lights on the lawn come on was just so magical. The house was magnificent!! So tastefully decorated, classy and spotless. We had a beautiful one bedroom with a nice big bathroom. Everything about Caterina's B & B was fantastic!!!! Caterina, Stefano and Barbara made us feel so comfortable. They were so friendly and caring! It was fun talking with them. Caterina loves what she does and it truly shows. We had a wonderful stay and didn't want to leave. We will definitely stay again. We are also going to highly recommend this to any of our family or friends going to Rome. Forgot to mention, the location is great! Posto incantevole da cui entri attraverso un cancello con chiavi che ti vengono date in dotazione all’arrivo . Appena dentro ti sembra di essere in un romanzo fiabesco.!ti ritrovi in un parco , tenete presente che stiamo parlando di un quartiere di Roma non certamente isolato anzi piuttosto trafficato. Il tuo sguardo viene rapito da una villa che sembra un piccolo castello tutto contornato da alberi bellissimi e curati maniacalmente con simpatici animali che ti accolgono con i loro soavi suoni. Trovi tre cani lupo che anziché incutere soggezione ti danno il benvenuto accompagnandoti verso l’ingresso della villa.!Se ti soffermi a guardare meglio vedi delle paperelle che sculettando si dirigono a bagnarsi in un laghetto centrale di indubbia bellezza. Anche una ochetta fa capolino dal praticello ben rasato sia da mano umana che dal Pony che bruca felice.! Quando poi entri vieni accolto da una signora che ti mette subito a tuo agio raccontandoti un po’ la storia di questa seducente costruzione prima di accompagnarti nelle stanze che rispecchiano lo stile dell’insieme ma di cui non puoi non notare la pulizia e la cura con cui sono tenute. Questa signora che ne è anche la proprietaria è di una dolcezza infinita . Beautiful garden and terrace with romantic view give to this place additional meaning for any travellers, that after walking in touristic Rome need relax and quiet sleep.
