This is a beautiful high end, boutique hotel, with one of the best views I have ever stayed in. If you want the view make sure you request a room at the front of the hotel. Don’t despair if you have a room at the rear because you get lovely meadow views while sitting in the hotel bar / restaurant and around the pool gives you the mountain view.||||The rooms are a good size with loads of storage space. The bed was comfortable, the duvet was soft and warm, it was spotlessly clean and everything feels high end quality wise. Even the bathrobes have that lovely quality feel and even come with a little hoodie. A couple of minor room criticisms are; 1. No tea / coffee in the room, which would have been lovely to enjoy on the balcony, 2. No curtains are provide. Instead you use electric powered shutters which in summer you partial close to have the ventilation slots open, but they let in light.||||In fact, everything in the hotel is well appointed, from food quality to sun loungers. There is no shabbiness here. The breakfasts stand out for special mention as they are wonderful. Small but delicious egg menu, but the local hams, cheeses, bread, apple juice, etc. make for a culinary start to the day. Even the menu during the day is delicious. It may only be a small menu, but it is all about flavor and quality. The wagyu burger is definitely worth a try.||||As for relaxation, in addition to a wonderful lounge area there is a fantastic sauna suite containing Swedish and Finnish saunas, steam room, solarium, and even a separate sauna with views of that mountain. There is also different relaxation rooms including one with personal digital music players and headphones. ||||The staff are always smiling and happy to help with anything. We got help with maps and schedules for a few walks, and even the best places to visit when we did a daytrip to Lake Garda. I would recommend this hotel as I would definitely...
Read moreThe location and the views of the mountain and the valley are definitely the selling point of the hotel. There are multiple paths to reach various towns and destinations without the need to take the car.
The spa facilities were clean but most of the saunas and steam rooms are in a basement with no view. I did enjoy the small sauna with the view of the mountain and the pool (whilst heated I thought it was still pretty chilly stillat the end of August).
The room was very clean and comfortable being a Junior Suite - the views were amazing however there was little privacy as the pool lounges face the room and terrace and therefore people sunbathing can see into your room unless you keep the curtains closed and say goodby to the view. The bathroom was also super small and definitely not what I was expecting for this category of room.
The food for dinner was very delicious whilst the breakfast felt like it could do with more cooked options and more pastry/cakes. They also don’t serve fresh tea or coffee but you help yourself to a machine which again I wouldn’t expect from an hotel of this category.
Finally this is the first hotel I have been where I have had to pay a supplement for our dog of Eur 28 per night and there was nothing for the dog - not a dog bed, nor a bowl. In fact it feels like dogs are more tolerated than welcome as there are signs everywhere that says no dog. When I questioned the charge at check out and asked if a child supplement would get a bed or a cot for the child, the answer I was given is that they don’t allow children…
All in all is a comfortable hotel but for the price paid for a junior suite there are better...
Read moreWe stayed at Sonus Alpis for 3 nights in Oct 2025 and it was awesome..this property has unbelievable views from the pool area as well as various rooms and is literally ‘immaculate’ it looked brand new ..we were immediately welcomed as soon as we walked in, offered welcome drinks and snacks in their bar 🍷 our room had great views of the mountains, was well appointed and had nice plush robes for use in the pool area and saunas. The pool is heated, and has multiple lounges both inside and outside and on the grass area. The hotel also has a ‘quiet room’ for just relaxing and listening to light music via headphones and tablets which are provided. They have 4 different type saunas to enjoy which were very enjoyable after a hiking day..The restaurant had some great food (sort of having a German Flair to it) and we ate there all three nights. The continental breakfast was quite extensive having usually scrambled eggs, various meats and cheeses, an assortment of baked goods, coffees, juices, etc and all very tasty..The staff, and I do mean everyone, was extremely polite and always wanting to help or assist you relating to hiking, traveling around the area, food and wine recommendations, etc..the weather on our Oct visit was perfect, got a little snow up at the higher elevations but nothing in town and we sort of expected that with a fall visit to mountains..I would recommend this hotel to anyone, and if we are ever back in the area we will definitely stay here again No Doubt In Our Minds!! We travelled Italy for two weeks and this was our favorite hotel for sure….Thank you to the staff and owners of the Sonus Alpis….keep up the fantastic job you...
