He told us he would need to call his colleague because he was “just a guard,” then changed his mind and told us to call his colleague ourselves and explain the issue. That seemed unreasonable to me—it’s his job to handle problems like this, not ours.

Read moreWhat a shame. This place from the outside looks nice. The main buildings reception is well kept and clean, the pond in the middle of the complex gives this place a university campus vibe, but this pond is also probably a big reason for the awful stay my wife and I had. The room that was advertised to us definitely did not at all look like the room we had booked. When entering our room, such a musty, weird, humid smell entered our nose that we could not really have expected. The building we were staying in was no where near as well kept as the main buildings reception. The hallways looked dark and dingy, like no one has vacuumed or cleaned the carpets in ages. The room we were staying in was full of mosquitos, and more kept on entering the room somehow, only god knows how. I believe all these mosquitos are spawning because of the huge body of stagnant water from the pond that is located in the middle of all the buildings, and with Dengue being more widespread across Italy as of recently, this gave us a lot of worry and concern. Never mind the amount of living mosquitos, the amount of dead ones on the ceilings, the walls, the curtains, the mirrors, by the window, even traces of dead mosquito residue on the pillows and bedding is absurd. Everyone staying has probably had to kill them late at night to try to get some sleep, but the truth is you’re not going to be able to sleep in these rooms like this, and the hotel staff is surely not going to clean any of the mosquitos you or anyone has killed. I determine the rooms will keep on getting worse because of this, so please for your own sake don’t spend your hard earned money staying here. For your own mental peace and physically being able to rest, go...
