We staryed in the Lido Hotel for a week this September. We decided to book the Junior suite as I like a room with plenty of space, a balcony and a good view and I have to say it was well worth the extra payment. Our room was large with a big double bed lovely bathroom/shower and great Air Conditioning. The balcony was my favourate part it was lovely a spacious with plenty of seating and an amazing view. All of the staff were helpful and friendly and very quick to reply to any request that we had. The breakfast was delicious and very well laid out with plenty of choice. Your could sit in the restaurant or outside to have breakfast or they also have a lovely seating place just across the road from the hotel which was a beautiful place to sit facing the lake (Bliss) The hotel is very close to the main town of Torri Del Benaco just a 2-3 minute walk away behind the castle. I could not fault the hotel or its location. Everything was excellent and I would definately return (Highly recommend the...
Read moreHotel Lido is a few minutes walk along the lakeside to the castle and the little town. We had a room on the third floor (top floor) with a small balcony to the side of hotel which received the late afternoon/evening sun and had a view of the lake and the castle. There was also a car park in front of the castle but this didn’t cause any problems for us. The room was bigger than we expected and had a very comfortable bed and also a decent sized shower room. There is a lift in the hotel so no problem being on the third floor. Breakfast was mainly self service and was excellent. A fantastic choice - cereals, fruit, yogurts, cold meats, cheese, croissants, breads, toast, eggs, bacon, smoked fish, cakes, juice, coffee, tea and probably a few other things I’ve forgotten! |The staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Meals were available throughout the day and evening and there was a bar. The terrace and little beach were great to relax on. Everything...
Read moreThis is a lovely smallish hotel situated just a 5 minutes stroll from the centre of Torri which is great when you're ready to leave the hustle and bustle of an evening's musical entertainment and retire to your balcony and watch the fantastic thunder and lightning storms that you get in the lake district. Having the car ferry opposite is no problem and it is very quiet at night and easy to cross the road during the day. The hotel has a lovely little garden used for their bar and restaurant and sitting in a sunny position by the beach with the cold half litre of white wine of an afternoon is delightful. The town has some lovely bars and restaurants and little streets with interesting shops and cafes. A really good place to visit on Lake Garda, not too far from Verona airport (which is small and easy to use). We came in August so pretty busy with families but I bet just outside of this time, it would be...
