Pizzeria Alla Rotonda — Restaurant in Torri del Benaco

We thought we found a nice Italian restaurant. We booked a table for 5 adults and 4 children. As we entered the restaurant we were welcomed well. As we started to order we quickly understood that as a family we were not welcome. The owner served our table. He did as if we didn't understand the Italian culture and was rude and without any respect for us. Every time we wanted to order something he forgot something or walked away. He even laughed about us und our children with other guests. As Italian fans, (I speak some italian and can unterstand it well) we know that most restaurant are family friendly. We strongly disagree with this restaurant. Even the other staff members were sorry for us How can that be! The food was okay and the wine too, but the experience and the disrespect we felt was very disappointing. We always visit restaurants in Italy and it always goes well. This one will never be a visit...

Unprofessional arrogant staff - ZERO stars

Visited with my 6-year-old daughter around 8 pm to order takeaway — she was too tired to dine in. Despite a sign outside, we were told (in Italian only) that takeaway starts at 9 pm. The older staff member laughed at me publicly for not understanding his Italian, and the rest of the team stood by in silence. My daughter was visibly upset.

This isn’t just poor service — it’s arrogance. The local staff act like they own the place and the area, assuming tourists will spend money regardless. For a tourist-facing business during high season, the owner should invest in properly trained, multilingual staff — not rely on local entitlement.

I won’t return — and I hope others choose to support more respectful, service-minded...

"Friarielli", quegli sconosciuti nella terra dei tedeschi... Abbiamo, purtroppo, avuto la sfortuna di ordinare delle pizze da asporto in questa pizzeria e per fortuna, perchè mangiarle lì forse sarebbe stato peggio. Tralasciando il fatto che non hanno voluto prendere l'ordine per telefono, ci siamo quindi recati presso questa pizzeria degli anni '80 dove la temperatura interna era, oltremodo, soffocante. Ci ha accolti il titolare, un signore di età avanzata, il quale, già con fare poco "amichevole", ha iniziato a prendere le ordinazioni, ma, quando gli è stata chiesta la pizza con salsiccia e friarielli, ha sbarrato gli occhi ed in dialetto veronese e con una frase molto poco carina ha detto che non conosceva questo ingrediente e che non potevamo fargli perdere tempo con queste strane richieste... Forse il signore, è troppo ben abituato con i tedeschi, e probabilmente a qualche richiesta non comune di una comunissima verdura italiana, perchè benchè di origine napoletana, il termine "friariello" è un termine italiano, va troppo facilmente in confusione. Anche alla inusuale richiesta di una pizza "rossa" il suddetto si è nuovamente sentito smarrito, e sempre dopo aver precisato che le pizze sarebbero dovute essere quelle presenti nel menù, ha segnato una pizza "marinara" - (meno) aglio e - (meno) origano, che ovviamente poi abbiamo pagato per intero come "marinara"... Visto il clima ostile creatosi, abbiamo deciso di aspettare le ordinazioni fuori dal suo locale, anche perchè non ha perso tempo a precisare di non ostacolare il suo personale, come se stesse parlando a dei ragazzini, quando poi, quei ragazzini potrebbero, tranquillamente, insegnarli come stare al mondo. Con rispetto, nonostante la sua poca educazione riservataci, mi sento di consigliare a questa persona, che se è stanco di lavorare, e lo posso capire vista la sua età, di lasciar spazio ai giovani, perchè la sua presenza è solo un danno alla sua attività ed in ogni caso la poca educazione non...
