Osteria La Barchessa — Restaurant in Torri del Benaco

It was ok. Food was good and the view anyway. unfortunately we picked maybe the wrong day. the service people were a bit disinterested and not in such a good mood. Or, this is their way to serve people. I don't know. but I have to say I was a bit disappointed and we were not very happy with this restaurant. we had to wait an 1 hour for our 2nd course and nobody really cared. only when we friendly asked after 45 minutes if they have maybe forgotten our order they checked and mentioned it's in preparation. people around us who came later already got their 1st and 2nd course so we assume they forgot. It's sad to see that they didn't really cared to be professional and keep an eye on us. the restaurant was not full and we were seated near other guest so it was possible to have a good overview. Buon ristorante ma obiettivamente c'è di meglio. Servizio non adeguato (troppi ritardi e dusguidi) e piatti poveri. Avevano indicato un polpo con patate come antipasto adatto ad essere condiviso in due ma nella realtà era pochissimo già per una persona quindi immaginate la situazione un pò imbarazzante, una mangia (pochissimo le l'altro guarda (affamato). Il resto il menù è di lago senza infamia né lode. Peccato perché il contesto è molto bello. Prezzo secondo me alto per il livello proposto. Cmq nella schiera di ristoranti riva lago se non ci sono alternative disponibili può andare bene. Direi che è il classico ristorante un pò turistico. Speriamo in un miglioramento.

Good restaurant but objectively it gets better. Inadequate service (too many delays and dusguides) and poor dishes. They had indicated an octopus with potatoes as an appetizer suitable to be shared in two but in reality it was already very little for one person so imagine the situation a little embarrassing, one eats (very little the other looks (hungry). Very overpriced for the quality of food and services. Arabic speaking staff and an awful toilet set the tone for this restaurant. The pizza was an abomination, too much dough and basically zero “pizza”. It was literally swimming in oil which made it very hard to eat and the taste was worse than nessesary.
