Hotel Villa Carlotta — Hotel in Torri del Benaco

We love this place. we first went almost 20 years ago, and our last visit was August 2018. What a wonderful place. Friendly, immaculately clean and tidy, very cosy rooms, a small but nice pool, stunning views over Lake Garda...and ...best of all...the most fabulous food in Italy!||Breakfasts are super...a very wide range of meats, cheeses, cereal (with lots of different seeds and dried fruits if you want to sprinkle on) pastries, gorgeous home-cooked cakes, the best scrambled eggs I have ever had, juices, good coffee, different teas...everything was amazing.||But as for the meals...oh wow...first class food all home-cooked, served with care and attention by the lovely family who run this small hotel, and every single item was utterly gorgeous. We could have really pigged out as there were second helpings of most things but we tried to be sensible...mostly!||We would recommend the Villa Carlotta as being the best place to stay on Lake Garda...in fact on any of the Italian lakes, not just because of the food and comfy rooms, but also the lovely hosts, and it perfect location...not a massively busy town but only a 10 minute safe walk along the shores of the lake to...

We booked this hotel for our Honeymoon after recommendations from parents and family who had stayed and raved about the place. We're so glad we decided to stay as we had an amazing time...||||The hotel is situated a pleasant short walk into Torri del Benaco, which itself is a really beautiful ancient town. There is a small beach, a pier and sunloungers so that you can easily swim in Lake Garda. The accommodation is modern, comfortable and spotlessly clean. ||||The best part of staying at Hotel Villa Carlotta is the owner Claudio and his family who, between them, make you feel really welcome. Nothing is too much trouble and Claudio is a fantastic host. ||||Make sure you take advantage of dinner at the Hotel - for 18 euros per person you get a set 4 course menu of delicious Italian cuisine, I had the best pasta dishes ever and it's extraordinary value. We ate there 7 nights out of 8 - it would have been 8 but we just wanted to see Torri one evening! Claudio's wine recommendations are spot on and the cocktails which his son makes are superb...||||Best hotel, ever,...

We stayed with Claudio and his family recently in Torri del Benaco what a lovely personal hotel with such helpful owners. the hotel is positioned on the lake with wonderful views and even a little jetty where we swam each day.A large sun terrace with a small pool and lots of sunloungers are also available. We had a lovely room and spotless shower ensuite. The food was suberb so much so the we ate there four out of our five nights. Claudios wife does all the cooking and she is wonderful we had a different five course meal each night for 19 euros I havent experienced such standard and value anywhere. No wonder all their quests ate in every evening. They even cooked two vegetarian dinners for my son and his wife one of the evenings. Thomas their son has very good english and knowledge of the local wines. Torri del Benaco is a lovely small village on Lake Garda a happy reprieve from the larger more touristy towns I would certainly return to this lovely hotel and dont miss it fi you are in the area.
