We were there for a family event visiting in laws who lived locally. They had booked us in here because it had an amazing reputation and was clearly number one in Tricase. As it turned out, it is probably number one in the whole of th region. Others have gone on about the stunning delicious breakfasts, the wonderful crisp and clean ever so large en suite rooms which manage to keep cool during the day (helped by excellent AC). However, it is the building and gardens that are just totally magnificent, dreamlike, that really impress. The breakfast is held in a shady area overlooking the large square in front with views to Olive groves and outbuildings, one of which can be booked to stay in. A vista of immense beauty decorated with pathways into the distance that are subtely lit in the evening. Picnic tables and deckchairs are placed so that you can just sit or picnic, whatever takes your fancy. Francesco and Paula are wonderfully amiable helpful hosts supported by the delightful Walther the dog and two cats that hang around waiting to be fussed over. . Bicycles and beach umbrellas and seats for the beach are provided. A car is needed. We enjoyed trips to Otranto, Lecce and Castro as well as a variety of great sandy beaches - t. The sea is colder where there are rocks but we put up with the warmers seas of our more organised beaches as we are lesser swimmers.|All in all, a wonderful place and not at all expensive. We will remember it well and fondly and hopefully...

Read moreSometimes you get lucky and we were lucky to meet Francesco and Paula the owner / operators of this fantastic masseria which is a type of bed and breakfast in a centuries old farmhouse. When we first set foot on the property both hosts made it clear they were there to take care of us. It was a delight to eat under the arcaded area of the farmhouse while listening to the sounds of the country from grasshoppers and cicadas chirping. ||||This is a relaxation oasis and I can't...
