Yumoto Shirogane Onsen Hotel — Hotel in Biei

The service at the front desk was good, and they were able to communicate fluently in English. However, I’m not sure if it was due to a lack of staff, but when we entered the Japanese-style room at around 3pm, the beds had already been set up, so there wasn’t much space to move around. Also, the website stated that our room had air conditioning, and although we saw an air conditioner in the room, it wasn’t working properly that night. The window in the room also couldn’t be opened, and the temperature was estimated to be around 28-30°C, which made it impossible to sleep the whole night. In addition, apart from bathing at the hot spring, there was a shower in the room but there was no shampoo or body wash provided. I came with my family. It seems like a family oriented hotel - buffet menu and nothing to do in the hotel. The room had a gas heater which wasn’t very suitable for such a small room that we had to leave the window slightly open and run the air purifier on high all night. The staff were okay just doing their job but nobody spoke a single word of English. It took us extra 15 minutes wandering around the hotel as the google map location was not accurate. I very much liked the onsen amenities! They were great - head to toe care amenities. But its close location to Biei and the lake make up.
