Best spot winter! Near blue pond and Shirogane water fall.

Room conditions are not great as we took the basic plan. But big size room and closed Onsen floor/ can heard all sound next door and corridor 😆 but you stay very short and just fall in sleep after onsen!

Onsen is nice water temporary high , 3bathes 1 hot bath, 1 cold water( too cold to enter) 1 sauna in door and shower, 1 outdoor

Restaurant seems just renewal, seating is nice and buffer with nice choice ( morning view over the window was very nice! )

Made reservation bus trip to blue pond light up- you cannot see blue pond as covered by snow 😅 Only our family and driver、、、he was very kind to offer other spot which service area just next blue pond.

Blue pond light up nice but not super recommend as tooo cold and covered by snow.

We walked to Shirogane water fall after check out, as photo it was really nice !!

Would visit again may renovated...

This is a very inviting hotel with its pink and green exterior and long windows on the first floor. The staff are very welcoming and there are plenty of them. The interior and facilities are a mesh of brilliant and tacky. A classy massage parlour sits feet away from a horrible little gaming corner with very old machines. There are long bare walled corridors with what looks like 30 year old carpets. The onsen is pleasant but unspectacular and the layout is unintelligent in that you meed to go down a floor and come back up if you want to hand in your key before having a dip. At one point we wanted a cork screw but were asked to come to reception to get it as opposed to someone bringing it up for us - so they aren't trying to push the boat out with their hospitality. The best thing here is probably the buffet which is one of the most extensive...

Pros: in excellent area for walking. Laundry facilities available. Staff extremely helpful albeit with limited English. Superb and varied buffet. Western food available for those who want. Good swimming pool. Spacious Onsens. Good view of woodlands from room. |Cons: rooms very small. Twin beds rather than doubles. Minuscule plastic bathroom. Tour bus hotel with more non Japanese Asians than Japanese. Dinner on one night had a 20 minute wait to get in because it was full to capacity. Changing room for pool old. |Summary 3 star hotel with extensive facilities which needs upgrade. Service at usual excellent superlative Japanese standards which makes the stay so much more than...

Actually walked here from biei blue pond since the public bus does not come here frequently. Right next to the shiraghe waterfalls and some volcano museum, this convenient hotel offers a ryokan run by electricity. The place around here does not have any food places so i had to resort eating snacks purchased at the hotel shop. The hokkaido rice milk crackers were good could not find them anywhere else. The ryokan was a bit subpar although it was outdoor. Felt more like a hot shower as i did not feel energized after the ryokan compared to a previous experience. It was a good place to kill time while i wait for the public bus to bring me back to biei jr station.

A good location for ski touring and enjoying outside. You can ski tour to BieiFuji and BieiDake right from the hotel. Because the 966 is closed in winter getting to the Tokachidake parking is longer as you have to drive around via Kamifurano. Rooms are older and a bit tired. Onsen is fine and well supplied. Dinner buffet is plentiful but ordinary. So is the breakfast buffet. The staff do try hard. Some quirkiness as the head waitress objects when you try to use your own (bigger) mug for drinks. Strangely not Japanese almost bordering on rudeness. The rest of staff are pleasant and polite
