⭐️ From 5 Stars to 1 — A Disappointing Turn

Our stay at Hotel R9 The Yard in Ebino started off strong. The concept is unique — compact, clean, container-style rooms with private bathrooms. The space was comfortable, and both the receptionist at check-in and check-out were kind and helpful. At this point, it felt like a solid 4-5 star experience.

Unfortunately, things took a drastic turn.

Around 4 AM, we were abruptly woken by a horrible sewer smell coming from our bathroom that completely filled the room. Being in a foreign country in the middle of the night, there weren’t many options. We opened windows and doors, cranked the AC — but ultimately had to endure it until morning.

When we checked out, we calmly raised the issue and asked for compensation or at least some form of acknowledgment. We were told to wait 15 minutes for the manager, which turned into almost 30. When he finally arrived, he barely listened and immediately dismissed the possibility of any compensation, claiming we had “used the service” — a baffling response considering the service included sleeping in a room filled with horrible sewer smell.

He stated that we should’ve asked for a room change at 4 AM. Not only is that an unreasonable expectation, but it's also incredibly unempathetic. We asked multiple times for him to check the room smell, and when he finally did — after the smell had partially dissipated — he shrugged it off as just a “faint” odor.

No apology. No accountability. No goodwill gesture.

A truly disappointing end to what could have been a pleasant stay. Sadly, I won’t be returning — not because of the smell, but because of the way the situation...

オープンして間もなかったようで、施設や客室の内装はきれいでした。 初めての利用で分からなかった事は、駐車場の位置でした。各コンテナホテル前が指定位置と思っていましたが、実際はどの場所に停めても良いという事でした。なので、都合が良いのは宿泊するコンテナの前ですが、早い者順になります。 部屋は、よくあるビジネスホテルと同じです。電子レンジが備え付けなのが、普通と違う部分でしょうか。 コーヒーのサービスもありますが、敷地入口のフロント用のコンテナにあるので、離れたコンテナからだと不便ですね。喫煙場所も同じくです。 宿泊して感じたのは、普通のホテルと違い天候が悪い場合はフロントに行きづらいのと、軽装で外に出難い事でしょうか。コンテナホテルが全て1階にあるという事で、キャンピングカーに泊まっている感覚でした。 しかし、料金が手頃で泊まりやすいので利用しやすいとは思います。あとサービスで付属する軽食は、オマケと考えてた方が良いです。カレーとかパスタや炒飯の冷凍食品でしたが、「あるだけでもまし…」とい...
