Kyōmachi Kankō Hotel — Hotel in Ebino

I stayed at the Kyoumachi Kankou Hotel because it was the only hotel with English on the Google maps listing, so I wasn't sure what I was getting into. But as soon as I called the number listed, I started to understand how wonderful this hotel is! A wonderful hostess, Migumi, who works there, speaks excellent English and assisted me through every difficulty with language I had. The staff made excellent recommendations on where to eat and places to go in the area. I highly recommend getting the breakfast with the room, they have two breakfast options. You can either get the European Breakfast or the Japanese Breakfast, and I highly reccommend either! The restauraunt in the hotel is stellar, wonderful, delicious food! The hotel is a very relaxing, get away spot, while still being conveniently located. The rooms are very spacious for a Japanese hotel, I could have easily fit my whole family into a room just for me. The rooms have High Def TVs, toilets, and are carpeted. Most rooms have a tatami mat dining area as well, with traditional Japanese tables low to the ground. Everything about the hotel is traditional, from the bean-pillows, to the incredible hospitable staff, simply wonderful. Free high speed internet (and it really is high speed!) allowed me to get all my work done right from the comfort of my hotel room! Best part about the hotel is that is has amazing natural hot spring baths - the water is pumped from natural hot springs right into the tubs and you can sit and soak and relax. The Kyomachi Kanko hotel is a comfortable pleasant onsen (hot spring) hotel in Ebino. Quality has been consistent for over a decade of my trips. The free room internet is very fast, good enough for streaming TV. Breakfast (included with the room) is traditional or western. My choice as a geijin is the traditional. Dinner may be arranged by choice, but there are a number of restaurants in walking distance including a nice oden place 3 blocks away. ♨️【湯けむりの向こうに、癒しの時間が流れる】 ホテルの玄関をくぐると、どこか懐かしさを感じる和の雰囲気が漂っていました。 立ち寄り湯の受付を済ませて、いざ浴場へ。館内はとても清潔で落ち着いており、地元の方や観光客でほどよく賑わっていました。

お湯は硫黄泉で、ほんのり白濁した湯色。湯面からはふわりと硫黄の香りが立ちのぼり、まさに温泉らしい温泉です。 柔らかく包み込むような肌ざわりのお湯は、身体の芯からじんわりと温まり、旅の疲れを一気に癒してくれました。

浴槽は広めで、のんびりと足を伸ばしてくつろげる空間。窓の外には静かな中庭が広がり、自然の音と光がそっと心をほぐしてくれます。

湯上がりにはラウンジでひと休み。地元の情報誌や観光パンフレットも豊富にあり、次の目的地を考えながら、ほてった身体をゆっくりと冷ましていきます。

🍃【えびのの自然と人のぬくもり】 この京町温泉エリアは、えびの高原や霧島連山へのアクセスも良く、登山や自然散策の拠点としてもぴったりな場所です。 また、ホテルの周辺には地元の飲食店や直売所も点在しており、温泉だけでなく地域の味も楽しめるのが魅力です。

宿泊せずとも、こうして「立ち寄り湯」として気軽に利用できるのは本当にありがたいですね。 スタッフの方々の丁寧な対応にも心が和み、まさに“旅の途中で立ち寄る癒しの場所”として、心に残るひとときでした。
