Hakuba Hatsuyuki Apartments — Hotel in Hakuba

The whole experience was outstanding. We first contacted Daniel and booked during Covid times and had to navigate the challenges of not being able to travel in 2021 and 2022 and deferring our booking Daniel was happy to reschedule and always helpful with our questions and concerns leading up to our trip a few weeks back. We stayed in the 4 bedroom apartment in Iwatake which was perfect for 4 couples as each room has its own ensuite Lovely apartment and situated a close walk to the lifts and next door to Hakuba Pub which we visited on a “few occasions”. The Pub and their staff led by Dexter was great and close by but far enough to not have any noise in our apartment We loved the ski hill which has good variety and spectacular views

A new Gondola is being built in 2023 which will be a game changer for the resort

The apartments are brilliant, we are a family of 4 with two almost adult children and the apartment was a perfect size for all of us for our 7 day stay. Comfortable and warm. The facilities are well kitted out with cooking equipment, fridge and washing machine and dryer and dry room for kit downstairs. We had amazing views of the ski lifts, which are literally 5 minute or 3 minute walk away. There are two stand outs for a stay here. The first is Daniel and his family, who are incredibly helpful and informative about the region, Daniel advised us about ski lessons, lift passes and equipment hire and he also provides a collect and drop off service for the bus as well as shopping trips to the local supermarket. We also needed a quick and not scary medical trip and Daniel was able to advise us. Finally, the downstairs brew pub is a glorious addition, with a beautiful wood burning stove and friendly staff. Dexter is a friendly host with great drink and food variety on offer. We spent Christmas at the apartments and enjoyed Christmas dinner at the brew pub downstairs. Absolutely love this apartment! My family came here for a ski holiday (8 adults and 2 kids) and had a best time.

Daniel was very responsive and helpful from the moment of booking inquiry to the day of our departure, the whole experience was very pleasant.

The apartment is well equipped and ever room has its own bathroom, the living room is very comfortable.

We especially love how easy it is to talk to the ski lift, even though the mountain is not as big as others in the valley, but the accessibility makes up for it.

I'd recommend to have a car if you plan to dine out often, there is a brewery next door, but if you want to go to Japanese restaurants, you'd need to plan ahead with public transportation if you...
