This place is simply not my style.
I am a backpacker so I'm here to see sights and baseball and go to bars and venture to nearby islands. This hotel does not seem to be near any of those. It is RIGHT NEXT to a train station so it's convenient in that aspect.
The front desk staff were polite. It's clean. The capsule is roomy and long enough for my height. The locker is big enough for my backpack. There's AC I kind of expect that from a hotel so I don't know that these are things to compliment. there are 3 showers so I haven't had to wait. That's about it for the pros
The halls smell like cigarettes. The bathrooms are on a different floor than my room. The mattress is only 3 cm thick on wood so it's. or very comfy. I hear every sound because of the echo-y wood design. There are 16 beds in this dorm so that could be awful if it is full. You get a bathroom style fan in your capsule which is loud. You only get one comforter so it's hot in the summer. There is no common area, just the lobby.
¥3200 per night for this is not a good deal. Im here for Friday and Saturday night, and this dorm is empty. 2000...
Read moreThis was a very nice hotel/hostel. I stayed in the female dorm-style room. There was a wonderful closet that was perfectly sized to fit every travelers luggage nicely. The room was floored with tatami and had a little mini fridge that was very convenient. It had a tiny TV but that wasn't a downer since I was there to sight-see. The place was located very close to a train station that was just a stop down from the main Hiroshima bullet train station and it had a tram stop just outside the train station. There were restaurants around the place and a little pastry shop where everything is in small stick form, it's awesome, try it, it's right next to the tram stop! The restrooms were very nice and though the shower was tiny, it was comparable to the low price. They also had a nice little bakery on the bottom floor and when I was going to have to check-in really late they were willing to help me out by checking me in at a later time!||||Overall a really nice place for the price, it was very clean and I met some wonderful ladies while staying...
Read moreLovely, friendly, helpful staff at the front desk. My experience may shed light on the variety of reviews for this business hotel. I stayed in two different rooms; a non-smoking renovated room on the 7th floor and a smoking non-renovated room on the 6th floor. The newer room was tidy, clean and very comfortable with a great bed and new modern bathroom (NB the room didn’t have a window). The older room was very tired and old fashioned, the bathroom had a strong chlorine/chemical smell, and the bed and bedding were not great. Hopefully they will manage to renovate all the rooms. I stay here for the location especially as it is close to family/friends and I love the neighbourhood atmosphere, local eating places and the ease of getting to Hiroshima station and the city centre. Yokogawa has excellent train, streetcar and bus access. There’s a Family Mart around the corner, a Fresta supermarket across the road and a bunch of handy shops and restaurants a...
