Ibusuki Shizuka — Hotel in Ibusuki

Our stay here was unforgettable! Primarily because of the lady owner (a kind and perky Chinese woman with a daughter named Koa-chan) who was very accommodating and hospitable.

She offered to fetch us by car at the station, and she let us stay in the bigger, more private room because many others were staying for the anticipated Nanohana Marathon.

Because there weren’t a lot of restaurants nearby, we bought food at the supermarket and dined in the room. The lady owner surprised us by giving us grilled shrimps!

The place is a regular house. It actually didn’t feel like staying at a guesthouse, though this wasn’t a bad thing. The place wasn’t dirty, but it also wasn’t exactly clean. It was a one of a kind experience, because it was very different from other guesthouses in Japan.

In the next morning, she also let us borrow two bicycles that we used for hours until we had to go back to Kagoshima City.

ある意味、衝撃的な宿でした。楽天トラベルで当日予約したらすぐにスマホに電話かかってきて住所と写真が送られてきました。建物には誰もいないから勝手に入ってて欲しいとのこと。最初は？？？でしたが、Googleマップ頼りに建物を探し出して部屋に上がり込んで待っていると奥様が宿泊費だけを受け取りにきてくれました。奥様とはその数分でお別れで翌朝のチェックアウトも何も言わずに勝手に帰っていいって事でした。びっくり！！ここ、建物は古いですがお風呂きれいですし、トイレはウォシュレットです。冷蔵庫やレンジあり、洗濯機もあります。長旅してる人にはなかなか良い設備があります。あと、キッチンに炊飯器にガステーブルまでありました。フライパンや鍋は無かったですが、ある程度の自炊もできそうです。おも...

長いこと日本にいらっしゃる、中国人の女性オーナーが素晴らしい方です。 宿としてはまずまずですが、十分に過ごせます。 私は身内が来るからという理由で、離れの一軒家を他のゲストとシェアしながら滞在しました。(個室なので寝室に他の方はいません。) 自転車の貸し出しなど、とにかくオーナーのおもてなしが最高でした。 何よりもお優しい方で、彼女がホストだったおかげで快適だったと言っても過言ではありません。 ちなみに指宿は他の地元の方々も親しみやすく、大阪から来た私達は大変気に入りま...
